My favourite kind of sport
- Greeting
- How are you? I suggest you to describe your mood and stick the picture on the board.
- Some time ago there were Olympic Games. Who took part in them? Of course, only the best sportsmen. And now we will do our best to get to the next Olympiad. Today we will have our class Olympic games and choose the best sportsmen . So, let’s start. Look at the screen and name sports.

- Thank you. Now open your copy-books, write down the date, listen to the riddles and write the answers. One word only.
- It is a team game. Men and women can play it. The players have a ball, and a long net. They play with their hands. There 6 players in every team.( volleyball)
- It is the most popular game in Ukraine and in England. The game lasts for 90 min. it has two halves. The players kick the ball and run after it. The players try to score a goal.( football)
- This game is played everywhere in Ukraine: at schools, universities, sports clubs. Each team has 5 players. They try to throw the ball into the basket. ( basketball)
- This kind of sport is very beautiful. It gives the sportsmen strength, rhythm and grace. The sportsmen do some exercises or dance to the music. The sportsmen have skates and nice costumes on. ( figure-skating)
- It is a game for two players that you play with a small ball and a table. ( Table-tennis)
- The sport of one who swims ( swimming)
- This kind of sport includes running, jumping. It is called the queen of sport ( athletics)
