Тема:  Пригоди . Ознайомлення  зі святами  Великобританії та США, а саме Helloween

Цілі :

 Навчальна :повторити та активізувати в мовленні учнів лексичний матеріал теми  «Adventure»  . Більш ширше познайомити школярів зі святами  Великобританії та США. Розширити знання учнів щодо традицій святкування Helloween

Розвиваюча : розвивати іншомовну комунікативну компетенцію учнів, вміння співпрацювати у командах. Формувати позитивні мотиви навчально-пізнавальної діяльності учнів,  підвищити рівень володіння англійською мовою.     

Виховна:  Викликати повагу та інтерес до традицій англомовних країн. Виховувати ввічливість, вміння поважати думку оточуючих

Обладнання: інтерактивна дошка, презентація , роздатковий

матеріал.

Заплановані результати навчання:

1. Вміння оперирувати в процесі спілкування активною лексикою в відповідності з комунікативною метою.
2. Вміння  вести діалог з теми «Adventure, travelling, Нalloween»
3. Вміння добувати необхідну інформацію з текстів.

ХІД УРОКУ

Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

1.               Warm-up: 

Teacher: Good afternoon dear boys and girls! Good afternoon dear guests. I'm very glad to see everyone of you here! Today we'll have an unusual meeting.

 As you know We have learned and introduced the topic Adventure. What`s the adventure for you? What`s the most adventuring thing you have ever done? (the students` answering and discussing as concerns to this topic).

I am sure, all of you have a dream-the destination you would like to visit! As for me it`s Scotland, because I want to have experience the atmosphere of ancient castles  and enjoy breathtaking views of Edinburgh . And what about you? What place you would like to visit? (discussion among the students concerning it).

Thanks for your responses! Today we are having the opportunity to get acquainted with some traditional celebrations such as Halloween and Thanksgiving Day!

  I and my pupils of the 8th grade decided to show you the celebration of the American and English holiday Halloween. I think this holiday will be interesting for you, you'll get some useful information, deep your knowledge on this topic, get joy and fun, because it's not only leaning English but you'll show your speed reaction and understanding the language.

  I wish you success and a lot of fun during our "Halloween Party".

2.               The topic and the aim of the lesson: (оголошення теми уроку і головної цілі)

Teacher:  You know already that on the 31-st of Octo­ber people in Great Britain and America mark Halloween or "Hallow Eve" or just "Holy eve". Many years ago people believed that souls of their dead relatives come to their homes in this evening and they put food for them at their houses doors.

They also believed that witches and ghosts were everywhere that night and could do harm to people. But witches and ghosts were afraid of light, that's why people made

jack-o'-lanterns out of pumpkins.

Now it's the time when children dress up as witches, ghosts, goblins, skeletons, elves, make lanterns out of pumpkins, go trick-or-treating and have very funny parties

3.            The main part of the lesson (основна частина уроку)

1.         Активізація  нового лексичного матеріалу. (просмотр слайдів , читання нової лексичної інформації, якщо необхідно – робимо переклад)
2.         Робота в групах  (слайди 15-16 , завдання True or False; слайд 18 – Match the words)
3.         Опрацювання нового матеріалу.
4.         Дискусія щодо теми , а саме -  обговорювання питань  Do you believe in superstitions ? Have you found any new facts of the celebrarion? Which ones? Are you keen on taking part in such event? Why yes or not?  Etc.
5.         Знайомство з деякими фактами стосовно Thanksgiving day.

Summarizing (підводимо підсумки)

Teacher: Our party is coming to the end. Hope you have got a lot of fun and pleasant moments. I’m sure you have learnt a lot about Halloween traditions and symbols and practiced in speaking English.

Нагородження класу грамотою.

Діти разом співають пісню «Trick or treat!» під музичний супровід (отримають нагороду-цукерки та оплески гостей)
