Objectives:     -    to teach pupils to work in groups;

  • to practice speaking;

  1. Greetings

T: Good morning, pupils!

P: Good morning, teacher!

T: Nice to see you!

T: Pupils, today we have guests.

Turn over and greet our guests.

P: Good morning! Welcome to our lesson!

T:  We hope our guests will enjoy our company.

       The motto of our lesson is:

 P:            “We’ll be good

                  We’ll be fine

                   We’ll be clever every time!”

T: Take your seats. Let’s start our lesson.

  1. Warming up

T: We’ll start it with a song “Good morning”.

T: And now we are at school.

  1. Wordseach. The theme of the lesson

T: What are we going to speak about at our today’s lesson? Look on a flipchart. You see our yesterday’s crossword.  But some letters are missed.  Let’s write them. I’ll show you a picture, you’ll name the picture and fill in the gaps. So, let’s start. Use a red marker.

T: So, pupils, today we’ll speak about our working day. We’ll play games, read, write, listen to the text. We’ll speak about our everyday activities.

 

  1.    Word Game “Daily routines” (British Council)

T: And now let’s play a word game to practice our vocabulary. Match the word to the picture. Let’s do it in turn. Who will be the first?  …., please.

Pupils, you have these pictures on your desks. Put them in order from morning till night.

Pre-listening

T: And now, children, we’ll listen about Joe’s morning. Open your books on page 12. Have a look on the pictures.

While-listening

Listening for the 1st time point to the pictures.

Post-listening

Now listen again and number the pictures in order. Write the numbers to the letters.

Now let’s check. Every correct answer is 1 point. If you have no mistakes put “12” …..

T: Pupils, you must find a partner and make a phrase. Take a word from the box and find a partner. Split into 3 groups according to your phrases.
