Theme: Holidays in Ukraine: New Year and Christmas

Objectives: to develop communicative skills, to develop pupils’ speaking, listening, writing and reading skills, to extend pupils’ knowledge about Holidays in Ukraine, New Year and Christmas, to practice pair work, to motivate pupils in expressing their own opinions and views on the topic, to teach pupils to respect traditions of their country.

І. Вступна частина уроку

Привітання з класом та введення в іншомовну атмосферу.

T: Good morning, dear pupils

Учні вітаються віршем “ Good morning”

 

T: How are you?

T: Take your places, please. And let’s start our lesson. Firstly we have to prepare our tongues for the lesson. Look at the blackboard and repeat after me

T: Look at the blackboard attentively and tell me the topic of our today’s lesson. Yes, you are right, we are going to speak about holidays, New Year and Christmas in Ukraine.

•          What are they?
