Тема «Спорт» дуже багатогранна. Вона вивчається у 7 класі. Але підручник для загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів (автор О Карпюк) дає не багато інформації про національні британськи види спорту. Британці пишаються тим, що багато видів спорту зародилися в їхній країні і поширилися по усьому світі.Тому я створила презентацію “British Sports”. Учні знайомляться з видами спорту виучуваної країни та виконують перевірочні завдання.
На уроці учні працюють у парах, фронтально, самостійно. Вони вчаться толерантності, мовному етикету, що сприяє формуванню адаптивного освітнього середовища.

Sports play an important part in the life of Britain and is a popular leisure activity. British are fond of different sports. Many of the world’s famous sports began in Britain including football, lawn tennis, cricket and rugby. Thousands of people watch football, rugby and tennis competitions on TV and go to the stadiums. They also go swimming and running. Ukrainian people are fond of sports too. The most popular sports in Ukraine are football, hockey and track and field athletics. A lot of people also like watching figure skating and gymnastics competitions. |

Introduction The British are a sporting nation. They are very fond of sports and organized games are part of normal school life. The two most popular games are football or soccer and cricket, but there are many other sports such as rugby, golf, tennis, rowing, swimming, horse-racing and the traditional fox-hunting.
Football Association football, also called soccer, is the most popular sport in the UK. Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in London is one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Some fans pay up to 200 pounds for a ticket for the match.
Cricket Cricket is considered to be the English National Game. Its rules are very complicated. There are eleven men in each team. One player at a time tries to bit the ball with a bat.
Cricket Cricket is a summer game. It is played on a green field. Cricket is a very long game. The big international matches go on for 5 days. Outside Britain cricket is very popular in India, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa.
Rugby Rugby originated in the town of Rugby in England in 1823. During a football match a student at Rugby public school picked up the ball and ran to score a goal.
Rugby There are fifteen men in a rugby team. The ball is oval and leather-covered. The aim of the game is to score points either by carrying the ball across the other team’s goal line and putting it down or by kicking the ball between the upper part of two goal posts.
Golf Golf is a national Scottish game. It originated in the 15th century. Golf is sport, in which competing players (golfers), using many types of clubs, attempt to hit balls into each hole on a golf course.
Lawn Tennis Lawn tennis was first played in Britain in the late 19th century. The most famous British championship is Wimbledon. It’s played annually during the last week of June and the first week of July. Some of the most well-known Wimbledon champions are: Boris Becker, Martina Navro- tilova, Steffi Graft, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams.
Horse - Racing Horse-racing is a popular sport all over the world. It’s also one of the oldest sports. The British developed the modern version of horse-racing They often call it the “sport of kings”. Horse racing is a popular spectator sport in Great Britain.
Fox hunting Fox hunting is an activity involving the tracking, chase, and sometimes killing of a fox, traditionally a red fox. Fox hunting originated in its current form in the United Kingdom in the 16th century. The sport is controversial, particularly in the UK, where bans were introduced for Scotland in 2002, then for England and Wales in November 2004.
