Урок з англійської мови на тему

«Музика у моєму житті»

“Music is the universal language of the world”     (H.Longfellow)

Завдання:

Освітні: організувати діяльність учнів з повторення і активізації лексичного матеріалу теми. Створити умови для розвитку самостійної, творчо мислячої особистості; активізувати мовленнєву діяльність. Навчати презентувати свою роботу.

Практичні: розвивати всі види мовної діяльності через технологію особистісно-орієнтованого підходу; удосконалювати вміння і навички  говоріння, аудіювання, читання та письма.

Розвиваючі: розвивати логічне мислення, активність, увагу, пам'ять; сприяти формуванню комунікативних навичок і умінь, пізнавального інтересу до даної теми; розвивати вміння розуміти зміст іншомовного тексту, виділяти необхідну інформацію.

Виховні: сприяти вихованню шанобливого, толерантного ставлення до іншої культури; виховувати позитивне ставлення до вивчення англійської мови. Формувати вміння працювати в команді, допомагати один одному.

Тип уроку: комбінований, узагальнення та систематизація знань по темі.

Оснащення: уроку: підручник О.Карп’юк “English 8” ,інтерактивна дошка(телевізор), ноутбук, фонограми пісень , картки із завданнями,  стікери , костюми , використання живих інструментів,запис музики  для гарного настрою під час роботи.

 

 

 

 

Хід уроку

  1.  Beginning of the lesson

 

 

Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

Greeting 1. Вітання. T.: Good morning, children! Ps: Good morning , teacher! T: I thing you are ready for our lesson and have a good mood.

 

Aim 2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

But,before we start our lesson,you will listen to your classmate Nastia. She’ll read you a poem. Listen and try to gess what we are going to speak about at our today’s lesson.

It is everywhere…

In the birds of the air.

In the hum of the honeybee.

In the song of the breeze

As it shivers the trees.

In the drum of the rain

On the windowpane.

Music is here.

Filling our ear.

                 So our today’s topic is “Music in our life “

T: Today we are going to revise everything we have learnt about music , styles of music , music tastes , practice our listening, reading , speaking.

 

Warming up 3.Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу. Look at the blackboard, please, and read the motto of our lesson: “Life without music would be a mistake”. Do you agree with this wonderful quotation?

T You are right!  It is impossible to live without it , it follows us everywhere, it is in our hearts, feelings and souls.

II Main part

T No wonder  we are going to speak about music today. It’s an inseparable part of holidays celebrations. Music is very important  in Ukrainians life. We have such kinds of songs as carols, haivkas, wedding songs, funeral songs etc. Ukrainians even sing in the fealds, during our hard work….we sing, when we are happy, when we are sad, when we love or cry..

So ,today we are going to work in such way. We have three groups and three topics

I Styles of music

II Singers

III Musical instruments

Members of the group get points for themselves and for their group. And at the end of the lesson we find winner of our lesson.

So, let’s start !

  1. Game “ Noughts and crosses”

  3. Training vocabulary (individual cards, one pupil checking on the blackboard)

4.Oзнайомлення з музичними стилями

T:  Now we’ll speak about  styles of music. Today we have got 3 guests. They’ll represent a certain style of music. Guess what style of music they ‘ll talk about and ask as much questions as possible to find out more information about styles.

RAP

 P1: My favourite style of music has been popular in Britain and the United States for over 20 years. The singer speaks or shouts the words in a strong rhythm. If I were you, I’d listen to it!

P2: Who started it?

P1: They first developed among black young people in American cities.

P3:How do they usually look?

P1: They go around in small gangs, wearing huge sports shoes, baggy jeans, back-to-front baseball caps and hoods. A small beard is a good idea for the men, as well.

P4: Who are the representatives of this style?

P1: Eminem,  50 Cent, Band of Brothers, Professor Green and so on.

P5: if its representative is Eminem, I’m sure it’s rap

P1: Right you are

Rock

P2: This kind of music is played in a fast, loud, and aggressive way . It appeared in 60s among African American audiences after World War II. (the second World War)

P3: What is the main feature of this musical style?

P2: The main feature of this musical style is shown in complex, melodious sounding, and in deep texts, often political or philosophical, and in external shape of musicians, and a manner of their behaviour on a stage.

P4: What musical instruments are used?

P2: In fate electronic musical instruments, and also computer processing of a sound are usually used. The most favourite instrument is an electroguitar. and the bass-guitar and drums are the important parts of performing of such music.

P5: What are the most known groups and musicians?

P2: The most known groups in the world are "Pink Floyd", “Beatles”, "Rolling Stones", "Deep Purple", "Yes", "Queen",  "Led Zeppelin", "Metallica".

P6: well, if this style appears in 60s and has its beginnings in the blues, it must be rock.

Country-music

P3: The style of music I represent is an American art form that gained worldwide appeal after World War II (the second World War). it grew from the folk music that was brought to North America .The music changed as it came in contact with ethnic music in Louisiana, with Latin and African music. It has many sources: traditional ballads, cowboy songs, Mexican music and the like.

P1: What is the main theme in country music?

P3: Nostalgia,/ truck driving, love, death, loneliness, rural life, family, cowboys, country music, are some common themes in country music?

 

P4: What musical instruments are used?

P3: The violin is the most popular instrument. The banjo was adapted from the African American culture. The guitar, string bass and Hawaiian guitar drums are also used.

P7: if this style is a mixture of ethnic, Latin and African music it must be Country-music

P3: you are right.

P1: Music helps me in my studies. Listening to music gives a break.

T: Why is music necessary?

P2: Music is a source of delight , inspiration, hope.

T Listen to the music and imagine You are in the forest. Listen the songs of birds. Wind blows and whisper You are the best !

Music

People cannot live without music. They listen to music, dance to music or learn to play musical instruments. There is music everywhere: at home, in a concert hall, in the park, at the seaside, in the forest and even in the street.

 

Music is not only a combination of pleasant sounds. It is an art which reflects life. Music reflects people's ideas and emotions.

 

Music in the lives of different people is different: some compose music, others play music, and others only listen to it. A lot of people who cannot play any musical instrument love to listen to music either at home or at a concert. Different people like different kinds of music. You may prefer pop or rock music, country or folk music, classical music or jazz, but you certainly cannot think of a day without music.

Music is part of our lives.

 

3)Post-Reading Activity. Етап перевірки розуміння тексту. Учні самостійно виписують з тексту аргументи що доводять важливість музики у житті людини ,а потім по черзі зачитують їх. Учитель стежить за правильністю вимови слів

 

III. The concluding part of the lesson.

  1. Summing up

H1. So, we’ve seen that music plays the great role in our life: it helps us doing everyday activities; expresses our emotions, rises up our mood when we’re sad; refreshes our body and soul when we’re tired and exhausted.

H2. Music makes us sing and dance, cry and laugh. It’s the unlimited world created at first by nature and then by inspiration of composers and musicians.

Ps. We liked interesting tasks and songs and new useful information about music and dances.
