Конспект уроку з англійської мови у 6-му класі на тему "Різдво у Великобританії"

Тема: Свято «Christmas in Great Britain».

Мета: познайомити учнів з традиціями святкування Різдва у Великобританії. Розвивати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Навчальний аспект: повторити лексику по темі, практикувати учнів в усному мовленні та аудіюванні .

Розвиваючий аспект: формувати позитивну мотивацію навчання, розвивати увагу, уяву, здогад .

Виховний аспект: виховувати в учнів почуття поваги до традицій та свят .

Обладнання: презентація, аудіо записи, відео записи, роздатковий матеріал для індивідуальнoї роботи (Додаток).

Хід уроку:

I. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Привітання.

T: Good morning, pupils.
Ps: Good morning, teacher.
T: How are you today?
Ps: We are fine, thank you.

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T: Today we are going to speak about special days and about holidays in Great Britain. You will reading the text, listen ang singing the songs, do many exercises, play games and practise your speaking skills.

3. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.

1) Бесіда з учнями.

T: You know that different people live in different countries. Different countries have different holidays and traditions. Today we are speaking about traditions in Great Britain.First of all, listen to the music and guess what holiday we are going to speak about.

Учні слухають мелодію "Jingle Bells" і висловлюють свої припущення.

P1: We are going to speak about winter celebrations.
P2: As for me, I think we are going to speak about Christmas.

T: Do you celebrate Christmas? Why? What do we celebrate at Christmas?

                2) Гра «Do You Know Special Days?».

Учні у парах виконують завдання № 1 в робочих листах (НО1). Завдання — знайти половинки кожного речення і з’єднати їх. Перемагає пара, яка швидше правильно виконає завдання. Вона читає речення, решта перевіряє.

In Ukraine people celebrate Christmas Eve --                         on the 6th of January.
In Ukraine people celebrate Christmas --                                on the 7th of January.

In Great Britain people celebrate Boxing Day --                      on the 26th of December.

II. Основна частина уроку

4. Повторення лексичного матеріалу.

1) Мозковий штурм.

Учні працюють парами. Вони повинні за 1 хвилину записати як можна більше слів, пов'язаних з Різдвом.

Т: What words do you associate with Christmas? Write words as many as possible.

Грає мелодія "I wish you a Merry Christmas" 1 хвилину. По закінченні часу кожна пара читає перелік слів, які вони змогли згадати.                                                  (Слайд 2)

2) Поповнення лексики по темі.. Учні дивляться презентацію з символами Різдва і називають їх, якщо знають. Робота з презентацією.

T: Let's remember names of Christmas symbols.                  (Слайди 3-10)

3) Закріплення ЛО. Вправа: Знайди зайве слово. T: Listen to the groups of words. In each group there is a word, which does not go with others. Find this word, please! Name the odd word out.

Turkey, pudding, pumpkin pie, vegetables. Santa Clause, holiday, Christmas tree, butterfly. Christmas pudding, Easter, reindeer, cracker. Trousers, stockings, presents, socks. 23rd December, 24th December, 25th December, 26th December. Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus was very busy on Christmas. He prepared a lot of toys for all the boys and girls in the world. He opened every letter and read them carefully. Then he gathered his elves. The elves worked hard. They picked up the toys and put them in the bag. Santa smiled at the elves.

The children waited for Santa. They decorated the Christmas Tree. There was a nice star on top of Christmas tree. The children looked at the Christmas Tree. They liked the toys. They jumped for joy. They hang up their stockings by the chimney.

Their Mum baked a nice cake. Their Dad filled the basket with candies. Their grandma and grandpa visited them. There were a lot of presents that day.

6)  Опрацювання навичок усного діалогічного мовлення
What do people do at Christmas? 
What do they have for Christmas lunch?

P1,2... They open their presents, cook and have Christmas lunch. On lunch they have turkey, carrots, peas, potatoes, pudding.

T: Who can say what people do on Boxing Day?                                     (Слайд 13)

P: It is on the 26th of December. People don't work on this day. They visit friends or go to the theatre.

5.Role Play                                                        (Слайди 14-16)

T: Make up a dialogue with your partner using instructions. I give you 2 minutes to prepere.

Make up a dialogue. (НО3).
Immagine that you are in the shop. It will be Christmas and you want to buy:

-some Christmas Balls,

-some Christmas Cards,

-some Christmas presents.

Через 2 хвилини 3-4 пари по черзі розігрують діалоги.

6.Перевірка домашнього завдання.

 Учні показують виготовлені Різдвяні листівки і за бажанням зачитують свої побажання.

ІІІ. Заключна частина уроку.

  1. Підведення підсумків уроку. Рефлексія.

We have a Christmas Tree on our blackboard. Let’s decorate it. On Christmas Balls you must write some words or word-combinations with your wishes for your classmates and our guests. Let’s decorate our Christmas Tree!
