Тема: Вибір професії

Мета:

• практична: закріпити навички вживання лексичних одиниць теми; удосконалювати навички читання й усного мовлення;
• розвиваюча: розвивати культуру спілкування й вміння логічно будувати висловлювання , аналізувати, брати участь в інтерактивних спілкуваннях;
• виховна: виховувати зацікавленість у розширенні своїх знань.

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення:

1. Greeting

T: I’m glad to see you. Hope you are ready to enjoy our work.

2. Warming up activity

T: Give information about different professions.

T. A babysitter

P1: a person whose job is looking after the children while parents are away.

T.: A doctor

P2: a person whose job is treat people who are ill/sick.

T.: A police officer

P3: A person whose job is to prevent crimes

T.: A chef

P4: A professional cook

T.: An actor

P5: a person who performs on the stage, on television or in a films.

1. Speaking

T.:  Read a list of jobs and professions and sort out them into two columns:

An accountant, an architect, a carpenter, a computer operator, a dentist, an editor, an engineer, a fashion designer a fireman, an interpreter, a bodyguard, a surgeon, a travel agent, a vet, a receptionist

 Give at least three reasons

2. Reading. Ex.13,p.105

1. Before reading activities:

T.: Answer my questions to find out if you are ambitious person:

1) Would you like to be rich rich and successful one day?

2) Are you going to study at university?

3) Do you like to do your best at everything?

4) Do you take games seriously and want to win?

5) Are you going to take up any new activity soon?

6) Do you enjoy learning and trying out new things?

T.: If you have mostly “yes” you are very ambitious person.

2) While-reading activity

T.: Fill in the grid on the information from letters above.

3 ) After-reading activity. Writing.

1. Choose one of the people from letters and write 5 questions to him/her
2. Answer these questions

3.Checking the homework

T.: You wrote your thoughts and ideas on following topic. Read it please. (5-6pupils)

“If you had to choose between an interesting job or a well-paid one, which would you choose?”

III. Homework

T.: Write a short report “Working alone is better than working in a team. Or?”

IV. Summarizing

T.: What information was new for you?

T.: Was the lesson interesting and useful for you?
