The task was to find the material and make the presentations about the life of R. Burns and his creation. So today we continue to work in groups. The names of your teams will be “The FATE” and “The FAME”. Our artists prepared a scene before your narrations.

The fist scene “

Scene: A room in the Burns' neighbor’s house. A man and a woman are sitting there. The man is making something with a hammer. The woman is sewing.

Woman: The night is so stormy. It is snowing. Hush! Somebody is knocking.

Husband: I'll open the door.

Burns' Mother (coming in): My dear neighbors! The storm has broken the roof of our house. May I spend this night at your place?

Woman: Oh, dear! You are welcome! Sit down, please. Let me have a look at your baby. What a handsome boy!

Husband: Listen! Somebody is knocking again. Who can it be? The snowstorm is so terrible!

Woman: Oh, a stranger may have lost his way. We can't leave anyone without help. Open the door, my dear.

Gypsy (entering the room): Hello! How are you? I'm cold and wet. May I warm myself in your house?

Woman: Of course, my dear Sarah. She is a Gypsy. She can tell fortunes.

Gypsy: What a nice baby! Let me see his hand. Oh, this boy won't be a fool. He'll be famous! He will glorify his family and his country.

A bonny lass I will confess,

Is pleasant to the e'e,

But without some better qualities

She's no a lass for me.

As fair art you, my bonnie lass,

So deep in love am I:

And I will love you still, my dear,

Till all the seas gang dry.

O my Luve's like a red, red rose,
That's newly sprung in June:
O my Luve's like the melodie,
That's sweetly play'd in tune.

What though on hamely fare we dine,
We hoddin grey, and a that;
Gie fools their silks, and knaves their wine;
A Man’s a Man for a’ that!

For a’ that, an’ a’ that,

It’s coming yet for a’ that,

That Man to Man, the world o’er,
Shall brothers be for a’ that.

My heart is sair -I dare na tell,
My heart is sair for Somebody;
I could wake a winter night
For the sake o’ Somebody.
