Тема уроку: “Meal”

Цілі: повторити та закріпити лексичні одиниці до теми “Meal” та граматичний матеріал (countable, uncountable, much, many) у вправах; розвивати мовленнєві навички, слухову пам’ять, увагу, логічне мислення учнів, здатність до здогадки, вміння працювати в парах та групах; стимулювати комунікативно-пізнавальну діяльність учнів; стимулювати в учнів бажання спілкуватися англійською мовою; виховувати поважне ставлення до традицій країни , мова якої вивчається, до  вчителя та один одного.

Тип уроку: урок засвоєння та удосконалення знань, умінь, навичок.

Обладнання: тематичні малюнки “Meal”, текст для читання, роздавальні картки до теми, мультимедійні засоби..

Good morning, dear children. I am glad to see you here in y classroom and now we begin to work.

II. Визначення теми та мети уроку. Aim

Dear children, look at this words and picture. Can you name the topic of our lesson? Thanks. You are right. Today we’ll have an unusual lesson. We’ll speak about meal and work in groups (визначення теми та мети уроку за малюнками та словами з фонетичними розминками).

 

  Look at the proverbs

We eat to live, but do not live to eat.

An apple a day keeps a doctor away.

Every country, every dishes.

Good health is above wealth.

 

 

III. Lexical drills. Working on the topical vocabulary

 

1. And now, your next task is to listen to a group of words on the topic “Food and drinks” and to identify and odd word. Tell why it is different :

1. Bread, butter, cheese, pizza,  a car.
2. Milk, water, lemonade, chocolate, juice.
3. An apple, a pear, an orange, a porridge, a banana.
4.  Meat, ham, fish, a pencil, sausage.

2. Chain of letters. How many words can you find in this chain of letters? Well, there are 7 words there. Can you find them?

IV. Listening

Listen to the text and answer the questions.

 

I have a friend Nick. He is British.  Nick likes to eat. English people usually have 4 meals a day breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner or supper.They have breakfast at 8 o’clock in the morning. Their traditional breakfast is porridge with milk and sugar, toast with jam and a glass of fruit juice or a cup of tea. At 11 o’clock they have lunch. They have fish, potatoes, cabbage . British people like to drink green tea or coffee. Schoolchildren have lunch at school.

 At 5 they have tea with milk, cakes or rolls.

The British have dinner or supper at 7 o’clock. People usually have meat or chicken, vegetables, cheese, ice-cream or an  apple pie.

Say, “true” or “false”.

Grammar work

As you know all nouns are divided into two groups: countable and uncountable. Countable nouns are things that you can count and they have a singular and plural form. Uncountable nouns are things that you can’t count and they have only
a singular form.

A little boy says to his father:  “ There is s black cat in the dining room.”

The father says:  “ Don’t afraid of this cat. Black cats are lucky.”

“ This cat is very lucky” says the boy,”    It is eating your dinner from

your plate.”

 

 

 

 

                     Pete’s friend.

One day Pete come home. He says to his  mother,  ”May my friend have dinner with us?”

“Yes, Pete.” says his mother.

“  Oh, thank you very much, mummy “  says Pete.

The boys opens the door and says “Come in Rex . Have dinner with us.”
