Lesson 1.
Topic: Pets.
Objectives:
- to introduce new vocabulary;
- to practise letters A, B, C, D, R, H, F, M, P, S, N, D;
- to review and practise the structure “Is it a …?’’;
- to practise numbers.
Vocabulary: elephant, rat, frog, spider, lizard, duck, cat, dog.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson Ps will be able to point to and name pets in English.
Greeting
The song “Hello”.
Hello, hello! How are you?

Warm-up
1. Before the lesson the teacher prepared cards with numbers and put them in different places in the classroom.
Say the number and Ps should go or run to the card with the correct number and bring it to the teacher.
2. The poem “ Numbers ”

Squirrel on the tree.

3.There are pictures with Super Friends on the blackboard.
Elicit the names of the four Super Friends and their powers.
Presentation
Elicit the names of the animals pupils know.
There are flashcards #37-44 on the blackboard. Ps repeat words after the teacher.

Play the recording. Ps listen to the audio, repeat the words and point to the animals.
Practice

Elicit what pets the four Super Friends have got.
The game “The Guessing Game.”
There are flashcards #37-44 on the desk. A pupil should come to the desk and choose a flashcard but he/she shouldn’t show it to Ps. Ps should guess what pet the pupil has got.
- Is it a lizard?
- No, it isn’t.
- Is it a spider?
- Yes, it is.
Relaxation
The song “Elephant Dance Song.”
Ps watch the video and repeat actions.
Practise letters A, B, C, D, R, H, F, M, P, S, N, D.
The teacher shows cards with letters and pictures. At first Ps should name letters and sounds and then objects.
The game “Do You Know the First Letters?”
The teacher gives a set of letters to each pupil (A, B, C, D, R, H, F, M, P, S, N, D). The teacher shows pictures one by one. Ps should raise a card with a letter that the word begins on the picture.
Ending
There are flashcards #37-44 on the blackboard and numbers above them. Say the animal and Ps should name the number (say the number and Ps name the animal.)
Lesson 2.
Topic: Pets.
Objectives:
- to introduce new vocabulary;
- to practise letters A, B, C, D, R, H, F, M, P, S, N, D;
- to practise the structure “Is it a …?’’;
- to practise the previous vocabulary.
Vocabulary: pelican, kangaroo, snake, koala.
Structure: Is it …?
Materials: AB, the video “The Animal Song’’, flashcards #37-44.
Outcomes: by the end of the lesson Ps will be able to differentiate the pets and name them.
Warm-up
The game “The Broken Telephone.”
Divide the class into two teams. Ps stand in lines. Whisper words to the first pupils in each line. Ps should whisper the word to the pupil who is standing behind him/her. The last pupil in the line should go to the board and take the card with a pet he/she has heard.
Practice
Presentation
There are flashcards #37-44 on the blackboard and cards with written words above them. Ps try to remember cards with words. The teacher takes away cards with written words and stick them on another board. Ps should take the card with the word and hang it in the correct place.
AB Ex.1, p.44. Pupils draw lines from the pictures to the words.
The video “The Animal Song.” Before watching the video Ps learn new words (pelican, kangaroo, snake, koala). The teacher shows cards with animals, says the word, Ps repeat after him/her. Ps watch the video and repeat actions.
Practise letters A, B, C, D, R, H, F, M, P, S, N, D.
The game “The First Letters.”
The teacher gives 4-5 pictures to each pupil. Then the teacher shows a letter and Ps name a letter and show a picture the object on it begins with this letter.
There are halves of fish on the blackboard. Ps match capital letters with small letters.
Ending
The teacher asks pupils to come to the board, take cards and name pets on the cards.

Warm-up
The game “Magic eyes.” (There are six flashcards on the board.)
Name objects. Ps repeat the words with the teacher in a rhythmic way. (The teacher removes words one by one. Ps should name all words.)

Presentation
Present and teach the prepositions in, on, under using toys and classroom objects.
Take a toy (for example a cat) and put it in (on, under) the bag. Ps repeat sentences after the teacher.

The pupil should name the object on the picture which begins with a letter ‘M’ and knock on it.

There are toy animals and classroom objects. The teacher gives commands and pupils follow them.

Lesson 4.

Warm-up
1.The game “Rock, paper, scissors.”
There are flashcards (animals) on the board.
Split the class into two groups. Each team stands face to face in front of the board. Pupils from each team move along by saying the word and then when they meet they do rock, paper, scissors to see who goes on. If they lose, they go to the back of their line and the next team member starts.
2.The game “Find Animals.”
Before the lesson the teacher prepared toy animals and put them in different places in the classroom. The teacher says sentences and Ps find a necessary toy.

Warm-up
Split the class into two groups. Draw a line in the middle of the board. Each team should nominate someone to come up to the board. The teacher should give each student a word of a similar definition. Ps draw on the board. The members of their teams must shout out the word they think is being drawn. The team to guess correctly wins a point. Pick two more students to come forward to draw.
Presentation
The teacher presents words happy and sad (hold the flashcard of, e.g. the dog and say I like dogs. Look happy. Hold the flashcard of, e.g. the rat and say I don’t like rats. Look sad.)
Practice

2.There are two pictures on the blackboard. The teacher gives Ps flashcards of different animals. Ps should go to the board and stick flashcards in the correct place and say necessary sentences.
P1: I like frogs.
P2: I don’t like snakes.
3.Listening.
AB Ex.1, p. 47. Before listening Ps say what animals they can see and what children,s names are. Ps listen to the recording, draw a sad or a happy mouth and then they check up with a teacher.
