A few weeks ago I was walking by the river with my friend, Jack, when suddenly the wind started blowing really hard and black clouds gathered in the sky. Minutes later a storm broke out. We came across an old building and decided to go inside for protection. We were looking around when, all of a sudden, we fell down into the basement. We couldn't believe it! The floor had collapsed. I wasn't hurt badly but Jack's leg was really hurting him. Worst of all, there was no way we could move around with all the rubble. We shouted for help, but there was no answer. We were terrified. After a few hours, it was raining even harder and, before long, water was coming down into the basement. I then realised that the river had flooded! I panicked. I was exhausted but I continued shouting until finally I heard a voice. Then I fainted. The next thing I knew, a rescue team was pulling me out of the rubble. We were very lucky because as soon as we got out of there, the whole building collapsed.

 

         1. It had started raining by the time the boys went into the building.                                           

         2. The boys didn't want to enter the building because it looked dangerous, but they had to.    

         3. They couldn't get out of the building because they were injured.     

         4. The river had flooded by the time they got out of the building.        

         5. The writer fainted when he saw the rescue team.

        BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER

        Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a science – fiction film directed by Ryan Coogler.

       Letitia Wright is one of the leading actors. She plays Shuri, a princess who lives in the

       Kingdom of Wakanda, a technologically advanced country in Africa.

       The actions begins when the King of Wakanda, the powerful Black Panther, dies. World

        powers immediately attack, and Wakanda is in huge danger. The evil commander, Namor

        (Tenoch Huerta), awakens his Talokan soldiers for battle with Wakanda, and Shuri, the

        dead king’s sister, must save her people. However, she can’t do it by herself. Her

        Wakandan friends, M’baku (Winston Duke), Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye (Danai

        Gurira), join her in a brilliant battle between good and evil.

        In my opinion, Black Panther is an amazing film that is full of action. The plot is very inte-

        resting, because it takes old characters from the first Black Panther film and mixes in new

        ones. The acting is great, the costumes and the soundtrack are incredible, and the special

        effects are fantastic as well. I can’t tell you how the film ends, but the ending was amazing!

        I recommend this film to all science – fiction film fans.

Fred      Hi, Robert! Where have you been? I haven’t seen you for almost two weeks.

Robert   I was on holiday. I spent a week in the countryside.

Fred      In the countryside? You usually go to your cousins in London.

Robert   Well, I wanted to try something different. I spent most of my time planting trees.

Fred      That’s it?

Robert   No, I helped build a stone wall too.

Fred      That’s not a holiday.

Robert   Have you ever built a stone wall before? It’s great fun.

Fred      It sounds a bit like work to me.

Robert   Well, it was a “working holiday”.

Fred      I see. So, where did you stay, at a hotel?

Robert   No, at a farmhouse.

Fred      You’re kidding! I hope they paid you enough.

Robert   Actually, I paid them. But it was only £50 for the week and they paid for our food.

Fred      You’re crazy! I’ve never heard of a holiday like that before!

Robert   It’s really worth it, Fred! When the weather’s good, the countryside is really beautiful!

Fred      What about winter when the weather’s not good?

Robert   They only do summer holidays. How about going there together next summer, Fred?

Fred       Erm… I don’t think so!

Robert   Ha ha!

Speaker 1

My friend Kerry said I shouldn’t miss this film for the world. I thought it was a horror film, but it was a comedy really, and not a very good one. First of all, it wasn’t an original story. It showed scenes from famous horror films and presented them in a very funny way. For a horror film fan like me, it was awful. The only good thing about it was the music. Anyway, I wanted to leave before the end, but I couldn’t leave without my friend Mike. He loved it, and he was laughing all the time.

SPEAKER 2

good. not a science- fiction film fan really, I like romantic films more. However, I enjoyed watching this science – fiction film, and I’d like to see it again. The story was exciting, and the special effects were amazing. The ending was a bit sad, but it was very good.

SPEAKER 3

I only like watching comedies, that’s why I knew that I wouldn’t like it. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a choice. It was my friend Sylvia’s birthday and she really wanted to watch it. It was just a boring love story. A poor girl meets a rich boy, they fall in love and they get married. I left half an hour before the end and I waited for Sylvia outside.
