Step by step instruction for students

1) Vocabulary:

2) Watch the film about music and find the answers to the questions:

How many questions does Alex ask? 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

Who likes listening to pop and jazz?

Who likes listening pop and rock?

Who likes listening R&B?

Who doesn`t like listening rock?

3) Watch the film again. Match sentences (1–3) with students A–D.

1 This student likes listening to music in the car, on the phone and with friends.

2 These students like listening to music alone in their rooms.

3 This student likes listening to music in his room with friends.

4) Watch the film for the last time. Complete what the students say about musical instruments with the words in the box.

5. Make up a short presentation of your music preferences (7-8 sentences). Use sentences with like, don’t like, hate, love + -ing.                                                   Follow the questions:

- Do you like listening to music?

- What is your favourite type of music? What type of music don`t you like?

- Where do you listen to music?

- What’s your favourite musical instrument? Can you play it?

- Which instrument would you like to play?

- Can students learn to play instruments at your school? Which ones?
