Урок за темою 'Мій робочий день' в 3 класі. Підручник Fly High 3. При формулюванні теми використали декодування за допомогою різнокольорових квадратів. На уроці відбувається тренування вживання Present Continuous Tense в усному та писемному мовленні. Вправи на правила приєднання закінчення ing , утворення сталих виразів та з'єднання їх з картинкою, утворення запитання та коротких відповідей. Групова робота в 4х групах : в класній кімнаті, ванній кімнаті, спальні та кухні. Учні складають короткі проекти з речень за темою What are you doing in the...? Цікаві рухливі пісні та Mime game ( Море хвилюється).

Outcomes: Students will be able to speak about their working day

  • To use Present Continuous Tense in speaking and writing language;
  • To improve speaking and writing skills;
  • To improve grammar skills

Materials: Fly High 3 Pupils` Book, Fun Grammar, handouts,CDs

Procedure

I. The beginning of the lesson

1.Greetings

Good morning, everyone. I`m glad to see you. How are you getting on?

2.Aims

Today we`re going to speak, write, play interesting games and the topic of our lesson is…oh, I`ve forgotten what our today`s lesson is about.

But you can help me! You can decode our topic. Look at the whiteboard.

The first letter is the red square…. (Pupils complete the topic `My working day`.)

II. The main part of the lesson

1.Drilling.Repeat the word combinations:

have-having; clean - cleaning; read-reading; wash – washing; taste-tasting; go-going; run-running;

make-making; speak –speaking; write-writing.

2. Write the ending –ing.

3.Complete the phrases and math them with the pictures.

 having a party; making a cake; clean up the kitchen; running in the park; reading books; talking to friends; washing the dishes ; tasting  strawberries; going shopping; speaking English; writing on the board

4.Game` Say the word keeping the rhythm.

5.Mime game. `The sea is waving`. 

The sea is waving one,

The sea is waving two,

The sea is waving three

Figures stand still.  Are you …? Yes ,I am /No ,I`m not.

6. Writing. Make questions and give short answers. (use the word combinations on the board.)

Example:

Are you having a party? Yes,I am /No,I`m not.

6.  Moving break. Song `What`s everyone doing now?`

What`s everyone doing now? /walk in a diamond step/

What`s everyone doing now?

She`s working./ Pretend to talk on the phone/

 He`s dreaming./ pretend to sleep/

We`re exercising. / do jumping jacks 2x/

7. Group work. 4 groups.  Imagine that you`re

-in the kitchen     -in the bedroom  - in the bathroom – in the classroom

Write some sentences about what you are doing there.

8.  Speaking .Pupils present their short projects.

* Where are you? We`re in the …

* What are you doing? We`re …..

Example:

We`re in the kitchen. We`re cooking lunch. We`re making a cake. We`re eating breakfast. We`re drinking milk. We`re cleaning the floor. We`re tasting strawberries. We`re having lunch.

We`re in the classroom. We`re learning English. We`re speaking English. We`re writing on the board. We`re reading English books. We`re listening to the teacher. We`re singing English songs.

       9.  Moving break. A song `Fun in the kitchen`

We`re cooking in the kitchen.We`re having lots of fun.

We`re making a cake. To eat with everyone.

Yum,yum!Yum,yum! We`re having every crumb!

We`re cleaning up the kitchen. We`re having lots of fun.

We`re eating the cake. We`re having every crumb!

10. Writing. Fun Grammar p.24.ex.5.

Write the questions. Then answer.

Example: Is she walking? Yes, she is.
