1. Teacher greets the pupils be saying, `Good morning, students. How are you today? If you are happy smile, clap your knees, make a funny face, say hello to your partner… 2. Look at the picture (slide2) What can you see? What are we going to talk about? Jobs, working life. So, the outcomes are…(slide3) (slide4) There is a statement on the board “Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life” by Confucius. Do you know this man? Who was he? When did he live? Pair students up and tell them to share their ideas about the statement. Work in groups of 4 and discuss- Monitor and listen - Then ask each group to choose a speaker and share their idea. |

Presentation activity 15 min • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation |
1. Pre-teach vocabulary. –Students work individually completing the words with the suffixes. Check with their partner. Look at the whiteboard and check(slide5). Add some more words with the same suffixes. 2. Mingling activity. Pupils walk around the classroom, when they hear the sound they stop, find a pair nearby and discuss the question “Which job would you like/not like to do and why?” 3. Students open their books p.72-73 (slide6) They look at the photos and read the job characteristics. Answer the questions “Who do you think is HAPPY, OK or UNHAPPY in their job? Why?” Discuss paying attention to the new words (in red). 4. Look at the pictures and identify them with the new vocabulary (slide7) 5. Listen and check the ideas about jobs. According to Lena and Albert, what is the secret of a happy job? (helping people)

1. The groups choose their speaker. They present the projects. Students can add information. 2.
