Anna: Let’s start with Christmas. When is it celebrated?

Tom: Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December every year.

Anna: How is Christmas usually celebrated in your country?

Tom: We decorate houses with lights, put Christmas trees in living rooms and send cards to our relatives and friends.

Anna: That sounds wonderful! Are presents given to children?

Tom: Yes, presents are given to children and sometimes to adults too.

Anna: What special food is eaten on Christmas?

Tom: The Christmas dinner is prepared in the evening. Turkey and pudding are traditional dishes on this day.

Anna: Great! What about Easter?

Tom: Easter is celebrated in spring. People paint eggs and prepare special meals.

Anna: Is Easter celebrated in the same way every year?

Tom: Yes, but some traditions were changed in the past and new ones were added.

Anna: That’s interesting. In Ukraine, traditions are passed from generation to generation.

Tom: I think traditions are very important because people are united by them.

Anna: I agree. Holidays are loved by people all over the world.
