Навчальні цілі та відповідність рівню

• Мовні цілі: навчитися розповідати про минулий досвід, зокрема літні канікули (вживання Past Simple: went, visited, played, swam тощо), задавати й відповідати на питання «Where? What? Who? When? Why? How?»; розширити словниковий запас теми літо/канікули (наприклад, beach, mountains, camping, swim, travel, ice cream).
• Навички: основний акцент на усному мовленні (розмовні діалоги, запитання-перепитування), аудіюванні (прослуховування коротких діалогів чи пісеньок), читанні (простих текстів про канікули) і писемному мовленні (короткі оповідання про відпочинок).
• Граматичні цілі: закріплення Past Simple (рядкові дієслова), утворення запитань у минулому часі та відповіді на них, словосполучення з go to, stay in, play on the beach тощо.
• Рівень CEFR: Завдання відповідають базовим рівням початкової школи (приблизно A1–A2). Наприклад, Cambridge рекомендує теми дозвілля та місць A1–A2-рівням, оскільки вони пов’язані з побутовими ситуаціями «sing about places, transport and things to do in your free time». Учні А2 можуть описувати власні досвіди минулого, формулювати прості розповіді.
• Очікувані результати: після уроку учень повинен уміти коротко розповісти про свої літні канікули, ставити запитання однокласнику про його відпочинок, читати простий текст на цю тему і написати кілька речень/абзац про канікули за підказками.

T: Good morning children! The theme of our lesson is “My summer holidays”.

 Today we’ll learn and speak about your summer holidays.

Let’s try to make up short dialogues!

I. Dialogues.

Діалог 1. ( двоє осіб на пляжі)

• Tom: Hello, Lily! How was your summer?
• Lily: Hi! It was great! I went to the beach with my family. We swam and built sandcastles.
• Tom: Who did you go with?
• Lily: I went with my mom, dad, and little brother.
• Нотації вчителя: розіграти діалог двома голосами. Після цього підкресліть питання в діалозі (Who, When, What, etc.). Запитайте інших учнів: Did Lily go alone? When did she go? 
• Questions to the dialogue: 1) True/False: Lily went to the beach alone. (False)
• 2) Who was with Lily at the beach? (Mom, dad, brother) 3) What did they do at the beach? (Swam and built sandcastles).
• This form of dialogue (simulating short conversations) allows students to practice natural conversation about their own experiences. The tasks are prepared so that students can grasp key information and answer simple questions on their own.

Діалог 2. ( сім’я біля авто)

• Anna: Hi, Chris! What did you do this summer?

• Chris: Hi! We drove to the mountains. It was fun!

• Anna: Cool! Did you go with friends?

• Chris: No, I went with my parents. We went hiking and took photos.

• Anna: Nice! Did it rain?

• Chris: Yes, once. It rained but we still had a picnic.

T: Let’s repeat the past forms of the irregular verbs (drove – drive, went – go).

Questions: 1) Who did Chris go with? (Parents)

2) Where did they go? (To the mountains)

3) True/False: Chris and his parents stayed home all summer. (False)

4) What did they do despite the rain? (Had a picnic).

II. Task for matching words with pictures.

III. Reading tasks.

Reading texts with questions.

Below are two short English texts (~100 words each) with questions to check comprehension. Students read the text and answer the questions in English. The answers are provided in English (the key is in brackets).

Text 1. My Summer Trip to the Sea

This summer, I had a great vacation. I went to the seaside with my family. We stayed in a small house near the beach. Every morning, we woke up early and watched the sunrise. We swam in the sea and played volleyball on the sand. My sister built a big sandcastle with flags. At night, we ate ice cream and walked on the pier. It was sunny and warm. I loved collecting seashells too. This trip was fun and relaxing.

Questions:

1)Where did I go this summer? (Answer: To the seaside)

2)Who did I go with? (With family)

3)What did my sister do at the beach? (She built a big sandcastle with flags.)

Text 2. Camping in the Mountains.

Last summer, I went camping in the Carpathian Mountains with my friends. We arrived on a Friday afternoon. Our tents were near a river. On Saturday, we hiked up a hill and saw a waterfall. We took many pictures. For lunch, we cooked hot dogs on a campfire. In the evening, it started to rain. We put on raincoats and danced! It was cold but very fun. We told stories around the fire and slept in our sleeping bags. On Sunday, the rain stopped and the sun came out. We visited a sheep farm and bought cheese to eat at home.

Questions:

1) Where did I go camping? (In the Carpathian Mountains)

3) What happened in the evening? (It started to rain; we danced in raincoats)

IV. Writing task.

To complete the sentences with the appropriate form of the verbs.

V. Homework.

Write 6-8 sentences about your summer holidays. Use the word to the topic for helping you (summer, holidays, tent, river, picnic, family, swim, relax, weather, sunny, rain, campfire, mountains)
