Learning English is very popular now. But studying isn't possible without studying idioms. Further, idioms vary in different cultures and countries. Introduction

The aim of the study is to analyse the peculiarities of using colour idioms everyday in English, which in turn will allow them to be used for a more detailed description and conveying their thoughts. The object of the study is the use of colour idioms in everyday life to enchance the description of impressions of what one sees or hears. The subject of the study is the methods and means of correct use of idiomatic expressions that can be used without hesitation in communication or correspondence with friends.

To achieve this goal, a number of tasks need to be addressed, namely: to analyse the literature on the research issues;to investigate the concept as a categorical basis of language;to determine the culturally determined features of the phenomen of the concept of „colour „to consider the degree of psychological interpretation of colour reflected in phraseological unitsto find out how to convey the intercultural features of the colour concept by means of the target language
