Урок – демонстрація з англійської мови.

The topic is «The cuisines [kwizi:ns] in different parts of the world»

Мета:  познайомити учнів з традиціями  і звичаями приготування страв в різних частинах світу;

To improve  students skills of listening  and  comprension; to practice reading for gist more intensive understanding; to develop speaking skills of  students.

Equipments:  computer, projector, screen (interactive teacher’s place), cards.

Greeting

T: Hello, my dear children . I am glad to see you. So let me start our lesson.

Aim

T: Today we are going to talk about national cuisine and do some exercises.This lesson we are having at the school canteen. So look at the screen where you can read the topic of our lesson               “ National Cuisine.”

I. Warming up

T: People can not live without food. But we should remember that

We eat to live, but we do not live to eat.

1. So, tell me please:


What kinds of food do you know?

Why do people eat fast food or junk  food?

Why should people eat healthy food?

What can you say about junk food?


 

So, what food do you prefer?

2. How many words can you find in this chain of letters? Well, there are 7 words there. Can you find them?

 3. “Jumble sentences” 

  1. People, live, cannot, food, without.

II. Vocabulary Practice

1 ) T: Look at the screen

Your task is to complete the sentences with the adjectives from the box:

 fresh, frozen, home – made, low – fat, raw, spicy, sweet, takeaway.

2 ) T: You know that almost every country has its own cuisine and what is more some popular dishes  are associated with this or that national cuisine. We are to remember such dishes.

Look at the screen. Your task is to complete the sentences.

Varenyky  is a typical Ukrainian  dish.

your task is to make a list of food or  dishes you accociate with the countries below.

Вчитель  готує картки з назвами страв, а діти прикріплюють їх.

Teacher. You'll work in teams. Every team has a stripes with the name, of the dishes, you must find and match.

If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probable say׃ ″Fish and chips″, then stop. It is disappointing but true that there is no tradition in  England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn’t lend itself to such preparation.

English cooking    is found at home.

Now we watch a viodeo about one  British family, and learn about  the food of the family members.

Dear children!

  Your task is to listen to the dialogues and say if the state ments t true or false

Ending the lesson.

Teacher: You are cooks. I hope you made a good and right choise. Being a cook is  a hard work.  You will have to deal with rude custowers, people who don't tip. But it's a great career for  for someone who likes to work with people.

Thank  you for your fruitful cooperation. I wish you good luck in your future profession, in your future life.
