Working with Definitions: Students complete sentences to define specific genres (e.g., matching "science fiction" with films about the future).
Providing Examples: In pairs, students think of real-life examples for each genre (e.g., "Interstellar is a science fiction film").
Expressing Preferences: Students use functional phrases ("I'm a big fan of...", "I can't stand...") to debate their likes and dislikes in groups.
