І. Організаційний момент (Warm-up)

• Lead-in discussion: Students answer "About You" questions: What films have you seen recently? What are your favorite TV shows?

ІІ. Основна частина уроку

1. Введення лексики (Vocabulary Presentation):

Genre Identification: Students look at the box of genres (action thriller, documentary, reality show, etc.) and match them with the photos A-L.

Listening for Confirmation: Students listen to the audio track to check if they identified the genres correctly.

Format Categorization: A brief brainstorm on whether each genre belongs to TV shows, films, or both categories.

Working with Definitions: Students complete sentences to define specific genres (e.g., matching "science fiction" with films about the future).

Providing Examples: In pairs, students think of real-life examples for each genre (e.g., "Interstellar is a science fiction film").

Expressing Preferences: Students use functional phrases ("I'm a big fan of...", "I can't stand...") to debate their likes and dislikes in groups.

• Lesson Summary: A quick "Guess the Genre" game where the teacher describes a plot and students name the genre.
