Procedure
Teacher: Hello, my dear students! It’s nightime to discuss a very important topic-places of the city we can visit in different situations-schools, hospitals, banks, supermarkets, restaurants, petrol stations and others. Every day people visit them to solve problems or entertain themselves. Now I suggest you to held a warming up activity and check how well you know the vocabulary.
1. Warming up.
Teacher: Look on the blackboard. You can see there the pics of different places to go. And I’m taking another pictures in my hands. You have to look at them and associate these things with the places which are shown on the blackboard.

2. Pre-reading.
Teacher: Guys, look on the blackboard! There are different words and phrases you meet for the first time. Let’s get acquainted with them:

3. Reading.
Teacher: Read the dialogue in roles, pay attention to the translation of new vocabulary.
4. After reading activity
Teacher: Look at the dialogue again and decide whether the sentences below are true (T) or false (F).
5. Speaking (work in groups)
Teacher: Friends, I’ve got GOOGLE MAP print here. Let’s look at it and tell what objects are there and where are they? Use words in, on, under, in front of, behind, between, next to.
Eg.: -Where is/are the supermarket?
- It is (in, on, under, in front of, behind, between, next to)…
6. Grammar (in pairs or groups)
Teacher: Here you can see “There is/There are” cards. Look at the picture and sort out cards which are true and which are false.
7.Writing.
Teacher: Complete the questions with the correct form of there is/there are.
8. Summing up
Teacher: Hope this lesson was useful for you. I’d ask you to give me a short feedback. Take these puzzle pieces and write there any sentence which contains our today’s vocabulary.
