Theme: It’s a school (Sally’s story “Frogs”)

Objectives:

Practical:

  • to revise vocabulary on the topic “School”;
  • to develop pupils’ language skills in speaking, listening, writing, reading.
  • to develop the skill of extended reading for pleasure.

Educational:

  • to extend pupils’ vocabulary on the topic “Weather”;
  • to consolidate known grammar structures (What’s this/that? – It’s a/an.., What are they? They are..) in the context of the story;

Developing:

  • to develop pupils’ visual, kinesthetic and audial memory;
  • to develop listening comprehension skills through songs.

Social:

  • to cultivate pupils’ tolerance, good manners;
  • to sing songs of English speaking countries.

 

Equipment:

  • the coursebook “Fly high 2” with CD and CD-Rom
  • CD songs for children;
  • video songs for children;
  • Picture flashcards;
  • Cards with pictures and words for matching task;
  • Individual worksheets “My bag”;
