And now I want to know, who has his birthday in this month, in spring? 

Ok, children, how you may describe this season of the year? Mary, how can you describe it?

Good! Who wants to add? Olga, maybe you want to add something, as I remember you said that you was born in spring too...

Correct. Well done!

- Good. Pupils, look at the another pictures. Who wants to describe another season of the year, if to be more exactly the season of the year when you was born.

Good answer, dear.

And at least, who was born in winter? When the weather is cold…

 - As the previous lesson we spoke about weather and climate, than today we’ll try to make up the weather forecast. And in general, who makes up the weather forecast?

Very good.

Now we’ll try to remember some necessary words for making up the weather forecast. They will be in the riddles, so first you have to solve the riddles. Be attentive!

- So, the first riddle:

  1. I am very dangerous, I am a storm which extends from the cloud. I have very strong winds. People go into ditches or in halls when I came around. What am I?

No, I am not.

Right you! Good!

Next one:

  2. Wanda found out that warm air rises and cool air moves down. They mix and push together. If they move fast, I form. What am I?

Great! Great answer.

One more riddle: 

  3. I play a part in the water cycle. When water evaporates, water vapor forms. I then form. Rain drops or snow falls from me. What am I?

Ok! Good! Next riddle:

  4. I am a weather instrument. People use me to measure temperature. I am bright red on hot days. What am I?

Good thinking, my clever.

- I think you are tired a little. So, now we’ll have a little break. We’ll be singing and doing exercises at the same time. Good?

- I think, that now you are not so tired and ready to work again. Now we’ll watch the weather forecast of one girl from Vietnam. She will tell you the weather forecast, you have to be attentive, as after her speech you have to do the same.

 - Pupils, please  open your copy-books and write your plan for the next question: What is the weather in my favourite country of Great Britain? You have to do it like the girl did. You have 5 minutes for this. Wish you good luck. 

- So, now you time is up. Who wants to be the first? I’ll put a good mark!

- Good answer. But I think, you have to supplement your forecast with some new words.

Today we tried to make the weather forecast of your favourite countries in Great Britain. You did it good, but you have to waork more. I think you liked to do this.

Today Mary, Danil, Olga, Dima get ten points. They answered my questions and tried to do their forecasts, and  did it well! I think that the next time other pupils will be active too! 

Your homework is to be ready with your weather forecast and to be ready to work with the map. Also you have to do the Ex.2, page 128-129. There you have to read a dialogue and after reading it match the geographical names to the pictures.

Say the home task to the pupils who are absent.

P1: - I was in summer. I like this season of the year, because I may go to the sea. I can go to the camp and simple have a good rest.

P2: - I was born in autumn. I like this season of the year too. We may go for a walk in the park. We may make photos, because as usual in autumn there are a lot of different leaves of different colours.

P3: - Me! I was born in winter. When we have holidays, my friends and I usually do a snowman and play snowballs. I like it!

- I like!

P1: - As I remember the meteorologist.

- Ok!

- Maybe…you are rain?

- Maybe tornado?

- You are … wind!

- You are clouds!

- You! You are a thermometer!

Danil: - I’d like to present you the weather forecast of England, as it is my favourite country of Great Britain. And I’ll tell the weather forecast of the capital of England – London. In general, in winter in England they can hardly forecast their weather. Sometimes it rains and sometimes it snows. For today in London they have 8 degrees of frost and snow. It is going to be unexpectable cold and snowy weather. The strong wind is moving in the town. So, if you want to go to London, don’t forget your caps and mittens.

- I’ll try.

My favourite country of Great Britain is Scotland, and now I’ll tell you the weather forecast for today. Today in Scotland we are expecting  very cold weather, around 9-12 degrees of frost.  Also it is going to be a very strong rain in the country. So, don’t forget your raincoats and umbrellas!
