Aims: - apply topic related vocabulary in speech appropriately arranging words and phrases  into well-formed sentences;

           - understand and recognise specific information and details while reading;

           - give extended information about travelling ;

           -discusses and selects an appropriate topical vocabulary on topic;

           -find translation of these words as quickly as possible.

Plan

1. Greetings.

Good morning, children! How are you today? What date is it today? What’s the weather like today?

2. Topic. Look at the board. What is the topic? Right, today we are going to speak about travelling.

3. Pictures, flashcards. Look at the pictures. What can you see?

4. Speaking, questions.

What is the fastest means of transport?

What’s the most comfortable?

What’s the cheapest?

What means of transport do you prefer?

Do you like travelling by ship or by train?

Do you prefer to travel with your parents or with your friends?

5. Why do people travel?

Ticket inspector: This ticket is for Oxford.

Passenger: Yes, that’s right.

Ticket inspector: But this train doesn’t go to Oxford, it goes to Liverpool.

Passenger: What? Liverpool? Oh no!
