                                                                    Unit 1

                                           At School

 

        There are a lot of good schools

        And study there it’s really cool.

        Different subjects children have to start:

        Maths, English, Music, Science, PE and Art.

 

      What lessons have we got today?

      What about them can you say?

      First social and computer studies

      Then it’s break time with our buddies.

 

      After break time we’ve got English and Maths.

      I’m always good at these subjects’ tests.

     After lunch we’ve got science and art,

     Then we do homework – we’re all so smart!

 

 

                                           Unit 2

                          At Home Together

 

    Do you help your mum with the choses?

    How often do you sweep and wash the floors?

    How often do you tidy up your toys, clean your shoes and dust quick?

     Three times a day, once a month, twice a week?

       I sometimes wash up and never make the bed.

       To play chess and computer games I’m very glad.

       I always watch a film and usually a comic read

       And with my friends I need to meet.

 

 

                                             Unit 3

                                Around Town

 

       There different places in our city to go

       And everybody must them well know.

       Shopping centres, a train station, bus stops, hospitals, a zoo,

       Cafes, libraries, swimming pools, supermarkets, banks too.

 

        Where were you on Saturday?

        First I needed at home to stay.

        Next I was at the library and café.

        Then I was at the shopping centre far away.

 

        Who were you with on that day?

        Could you with them play anyway?

        Yes, of course! Only with my grandparents, mum and dad,

         Because my aunt, uncle and cousins were sad.

 

 

                                        

                                            Unit 4

                                 Safari Adventure

 

            A safari adventure is waiting for me.

            It’s very interesting some wild animals to see.

            Let’s some pizza and sandwiches make

            With cheese, olives, peppers, mushrooms to take.

 

            Some soup, spinach, tuna, pasta and salad we bring.

            Some cups for tea, coffee and bottles of water to drink.

            Look! There are some biscuits on the plate.

            Don’t forget them! Hurry up! It’s too late!

 

 

                                          Unit 5

                   My Grandpa’s Last Birthday

 

              Last Sunday it was the birthday of my Grandpa.

              His wife Monica organized a party, my Grandma.

              She made a cake and played the guitar

              And she danced like a real superstar.

 

              His son, my dad, was wearing a nice suit,

              And he played beautifully the flute.

              His daughter played the violin, wearing a hat

              His grandson played the drums, wearing a blue shirt.

              His granddaughter played the trumpet very well

              She was dressed up as a princess with a bell.

              My Grandma’s husband played the piano and he was very glad

              To have such a beautiful party in his flat.

 

 

                                            Unit 6

                                   Under the Sea

 

               There are a lot of animals and fish in the sea.

               They are very beautiful and interesting for me.

               A dolphin, a penguin, a seahorse, an eel and a starfish,

               A shark, an octopus, a whale, a crab, a jellyfish.

 

               A whale is the biggest animal in the sea.

               It’s very long, heavy and loud, you see.

               A starfish is shorter than an eel.

               When you are under the water, what do you feel?

 

                                             Unit 7

                                 Once Upon a Time

 

                Where did you go last night?

                What did you see in your sight?

                To my friend’s party last night I went

                 Because a beautiful invitation to me she sent.

                 I wore a blue dress, new shoes and came.

                 I stood a few minutes and thought about her fame.

                 Then I went upstairs and a note on her door I read.

                 I opened it and “Happy birthday, Kate!”, I said.

 

                 A good time at the party I had.

                 She made a big cake and we all it ate.

                 Different tasty drinks there I drank.

                 We played games and nice songs sang.

 

                                            Unit 8

                                   Back in Time

 

                   Yesterday to the History Museum we went

                   And a lot of time there we spent.

                   We saw different musical instruments and sculptures,

                   Bowls, tools, knives, necklaces in ancient structures.

 

                   There was a fireplace in the room.

                   There were some coins, pots and a broom.

                   There were some mammoths and gorillas in the paintings.

                   There weren’t any mirrors, clocks and other modern things.  

                                                

                                               

 

 

                                                  Unit 9

                                 Sport for All

 

              There are different kinds of sport

              And people like them all a lot.

              Sports clothes and the equipment they need

              For every kind of sport indeed.

 

             A swimming costume and a cap, goggles, a towel for swimming,

             A bat, a helmet and gloves for baseball playing,

             A tracksuit and trainers for football playing,

             A boat, paddles and flip-flops for sailing.

 

             Sports people have to eat the right food.

             Eating pasta is for energy good.

             To have big muscles you have to eat meat.

             To have strong bones cheese you have to eat.

 

 

                                           Unit 10

                                 Let’s Celebrate!

 

          Somebody has got his birthday in September, October, November.

          Somebody celebrates it in January, February or December.

          Someone’s birthday is in June, August or July.

          Or in spring: March, April or May and you can somewhere fly.

          Are you going to visit Spain?

          Are you going to go there by plane?

          What are you going there to do?

          I’m going to play football and gymnastics do.
