Aims: to practise students’ habits of getting additional information, to develop students’ speaking, writing, listening skills, to make learning interesting and enjoyable
Today we have an unusual lesson. We’ll make posters while speaking. You’ll learn more information about Great Britain. We’ll speak about holidays, share the information and do different tasks.

New Year isn’t the most popular holiday in Britain. But young people like parties . Look here. It’s the symbol of the holiday. What are the associations with this holiday?
-Write them on this New Year’s Tree .
-What do you know about this holiday?(Children tell about New Year in Britain)
-Let’s sing “Jingle Bells” to relax.
3. The first step
Come and take the name of your holiday. Then stick it on your poster.
Christmas is the most popular holiday in Britain. Everybody likes it because of presents, tasty dishes, fireworks, surprises.
-Let’s read the text and do the task .(Work in groups)
-Tell about this holiday. (Children’s stories)
-Sing a song “Merry Christmas”
5.The second step
Take the dates of your holidays and stick them.
Easter is a spring holiday. It’s loved by everybody, especially by small children.
-What interesting traditions about Easter do you know? ( Stories)
-Make up poems using stripped sentences. Stick them on the Easter egg.
6. The third step
Take a holiday greeting for your holiday and stick it.
English children greet their mothers and fathers in May and June. They usually express their love to the dearest. Children like to make presents by their own.

8. The fourth step
Take the decorations for your holidays and stick them on your posters.
Everybody likes birthdays with guests, presents ,flowers and sweets. It’s a personal day.
-Tell about birthday parties ( Stories)
-What can we wish on this day? Write the words of wishes on the butterflies and stick them on the basket with flowers.
St. Valentine’s day is the most romantic holiday. People show their love. And it’s great.
-Tell about this holiday (Stories).
-Take a paper- heart and write what love is, then read.
