II. MAIN PART OF THE LESSON
Since 2005, on November, 9 the entire world celebrates the official Guinness World Records Day
The book of records was created by British engineer and brewery owner Hugh Beaver.
In November 1951, he went with friends for hunting. In the evening in the bar between the men a dispute began which of the wild birds was the fastest. Men watched several different guides, but they did not find the answers. Then Beaver decided to create a book in which all the records will be collected. He named her in honor of his Guinness brewery.
The Guinness Book of Records is currently the book with the largest circulation of all books (except the Bible), protected by copyright.
Each country is celebrating its official Guinness World Records Day. Every year, more and more people are trying to set new records.
Paris tried to prove the reputation of "the city of lovers." In the center of the French capital, about a thousand couples were kissing at the same time. The organizers urged Parisians to take part in the campaign
for several days, but failed to beat the record set in Budapest last year. In 2005, almost six thousand lovers were kissing in the Hungarian capital.
China produced the world's largest sticks for food, held the most humane tea ceremony in Japan, and carried out the most massive dance in Australia under water.
