Позакласний захід “What? Where? When?”

Інтелектуальна гра “What? Where? When?”

 

 

Мета та завдання:

• розвивати інтелектуальні,  мовленнєві та творчі здібності учнів;
• повторити та закріпити вивчений матеріал;
• формувати позитивну мотивацію до вивчення іноземної мови та до пізнавальної діяльності.

Для проведення гри формується три команди  по 5 чоловік. Бали отримує та команда, яка першою дає правильну відповідь на запитання. Якщо відповідь була неправильною, у команди суперників є можливість на обговорення до кінця першої хвилини.

Під час обдумування гравцями відповідей можна запропонувати запитання вболівальникам та оцінити їх відповіді також,  бали додаються тій команді, за яку вони вболівають.

Між етапами гри пропонується музичні паузи у вигляді пісень, віршів англійською мовою. Виступи готуються заздалегідь .

 

The procedure

T. Good afternoon dear pupils and our guests!

Glad to see you at our game " What? Where? When?” ". The participants of the game are the pupils  who  like English very much and today they will show us their knowledge of the English language.

Now listen to the rules of the game:

• the game consists of six rounds;
• the first round includes 18 questions and three variants of the answers;
•     you must choose the right answer;
•     for each right answer you’ll get one point .
•     when the round is over the jury will check up your answers. The winner of the game will be that who gets more points.

     Your task is to guess what famous sight is it and choose the right answer. For each right answer you’ll get one point .

THE FIFTH  ROUND

 

T.  The fifth round is connected with proverbs. Your task will be – to guess the meanings of these proverbs, translate them into Ukrainian. For each right answer you’ll get one point .

THE SIXTH  ROUND

 

T.  The sixth round is connected with grammar. Your task will be – to guess the tenses of  the sentences and translate them into Ukrainian. For each right answer you’ll get two points .

T.  Our game is over and now our  jury will tell us the winner of our competition.

     I think that all our participants were active and clever but the winner must be one.

     Dear pupils I believe that each of you should learn English because it is the language of trade, computers, science, culture ,business, medicine, education and other important fields of our life. Other than that, knowledge of English opens endless opportunities in career development and studies. And I suppose that each educated person should learn English.
