The main activity of the agro-industrial holding is the cultivation of beets, cereals and oilseeds, production of high quality sugar and related products, as well as milk and meat. In addition, in Poltava region, Astarta has soybean processing and biogas production facilities. The holding has created a full cycle of sugar production: from growing beets to sugar production. The presence of raw materials significantly reduces the dependence on external supplies of beets, reduces the cost of sugar produced, guarantees uninterrupted production and maximum yield of quality finished product.

Cattle farming is one of ASTARTA’s top business divisions, with 29 000 head of cattle located on our farms. The group increases its quantitative and qualitative indicators in this business segment consistently. The group constructs new cattle farms and upgrades to existing farms by installing modern equipment to provide better conditions for the animals, to increase the yields and quality of milk, and propagate the breeding of highly productive young cattle.

Аarms are located around the country’s best production areas in the oblasts of Poltava, Vinnytsya, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Zhytomyr. We mainly grow sugar beet – which is then processed at our own sugar plants, as well as grains and oilseeds. The Company aims to improve crop yields based on best technologies to improve economic efficiency while maintaining environmental sustainability. SILO SERVICES (WAREHOUSE STORAGE CONTRACT)ASTARTA is a market leader in the production, storage of cereals and oilseeds in Ukraine, with silo capacities of 550 thousand tons. Today, ASTARTA’s elevators store their own products and grain of several thousand contractors from all over Ukraine. The turnover of elevators of the Company makes on average two turns.

Agroholding Astarta continues to export most of its products. In 2015, according to the quota for duty-free import of sugar into the EU, the company sent 10,000 tons of sweet sand to this market. She also started exporting corn to China. This country became the main buyer of Astarta's soybean oil.
