New Year’s Day is celebrated in many countries such as in India on the January 1 in the Gregorian calendar.

People in Delhi dress colorfully. They have fun activities such as singing, playing games, dancing, and attending parties. Night clubs, movie theatres, resorts, restaurants and amusement parks are filled with people of all ages. People greet and wish each other Happy New Year. They exchange messages, greeting cards and gifts . In Delhi there is a live concert which is attended by Hollywood stars and other well-known personalities. Large crowds gather to attend such show, while some individuals prefer to celebrate with their close friends and family members.

Wear comfortable shoes, as there can be plenty of walking. Delhi-belly is practically unavoidable. Reduce your chances of feeling unwell by drinking only bottled water and eating freshly cooked food. Navigate Delhi using efficient metro service. Single tickets and all-day passes are available. Use tuk-tuks , auto rickshaws, and cycle rickshaws in areas where the metro is not available. Tipping 10% in restaurants, where service charge is not automatically included, is generally accepted. Delhi is quite traditional when it comes to dress. Keep your knees and shoulders covered when visiting most tourist sights.

It’s better to stay in Karol Bagh. It is close to the old town and is famous for its own thriving shopping industry. There are many hotels to stay in. There is a metro. It will be easier to get to all Delhi.
