Usage Rules for Past Simple Tense:

She visited her family last month. They finished the painting yesterday. I watched a movie last night. Did they play soccer yesterday. I did my homework two hours ago. Completed Actions:

Sequences of Past Events:---We arrived at the beach, spread out our towel, swam, and sunbathed.---He opened the door, entered the room, and turned off the light.---She woke up, drank coffee, got dressed, and went to work.
