Sport in Ukraine. Ukrainians like sport.

At schools and universities they play football, table tennis, volleyball, basketball. In their free time teenagers go cycling, skateboarding and rollerblading.

Their parents go swimming and jogging. In winter many people go to the Carpathians to ski and ski jump.

Ukrainian sportsmen take part in Olympic Games and win medals in summer and in winter events.

Our football players are well-known too. We like Andriy Shevchenko, Oleg Blokhin, Andriy Yarmolenko, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, Andriy Pyatov

They played for different football clubs but they were in one national team

Sergey Bubka. He is a world famous pole vaulter. His most important record was 6.15 meters height. Nobody before him could take the height over 6 meters. Sergey was holding the world record for 21 years.
