Wales is the country that lies to the west of England and shares a border with it.
The official languages are Welsh and English. About 20% of the population speak Welsh.
Cardiff is the capital city of Wales, which is one of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom. It is located in the southern part of Wales, near the Bristol Channel. As the capital, Cardiff is a major political, economic, and cultural center for Wales.
Much of Wales is mountainous. The highest mountain is Snowdon (1,085 m).
The patron saint is St David. He is known as “David, the water drinker”
Since he drank only water and didn’t eat meat. He was a vegetarian for spiritual reasons.
The national day is on the 1st of March.
The symbols of Wales are the red Welsh dragon, the leek and the daffodil.
