Louis Braille hurt his eyes at the age of 3, He became blind. He learned to read wooden books using his fingers. The letters were carved into wood. And the books were big and heavy. Louis needed a better way to read.

one day, Louis heard about night writing. The night writing was mode of dots and dashes. If helped soldiers read in the dark, Louis tried it, But it was too difficult to learn because there were too many dots and dashes in one letter.
