Reading “Hobbies”

It is winter now. Children spend more time at home with their hobbies. Peter, John and Tony study at the same school. They are friends but they have different hobbies. Peter is collector. He collects stamps with animals. He collected a real zoo with many animals and birds in it. He also likes reading books about animals. Peter has got a dog and white mice at home.

Tony is interested in music. He collects tape recordings of jazz concerts. Tony can play the piano very well. Now he is learning to play the guitar. He wants to be a musician.

John doesn’t like collecting stamps or badges. He doesn’t go in for sports and doesn’t play any musical instruments. He collects coins. John’s coins can tell us about different people and different countries. John often says that his hobby is popular with people of all ages. He thinks his life became more interesting when he started to collect coins.
