Підтема: Вибір професії. Плани на майбутнє.
Мета: Активізувати у мові учнів ЛО теми “Вибір професії”, “Рід занять людей”. Проконтролювати підготовку висловлювань учнів про свої плани на майбутнє та можливість отримання подальшої освіти після закінчення 9 класу.
Методико – дидактичне
забезпечення уроку: підручник, план – питання для усного висловлювання учнів про свої плани на майбутнє на дошці (див. урок №1), “Join together the halves of the proverbs” (комплект речень) (НО1), список професій для гри “Рейтинг професій” на дошці.

1. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.
T: Today we are going to talk about your plans for the future and ways of getting further education for the ninth – form pupils. By the end of the lesson you should be able:

Game “Catchphrase”
T: Let’s play a kind of a game. A quiz show “Catchphrase” is very popular on television in Britain. In the quiz show “Catchphrase” the contestants have to complete well – known expressions and proverbs. They get money for each one they complete. The winner can try them for the jackpot.
Well, let’s play “Catchphrase” game, too.
Join together the two halves of the famous proverbs and sayings about work and people’s occupations. Work in pairs.

4) Lexical game Гра “Рейтинг професій”.
Яка професія важливіша? Бесіда на тему “Професії”.
Учитель пише на дошці список професій, наприклад:
Doctor lawyer worker
Driver journalist librarian
Secretary university professor engineer
Schoolteacher actor farmer
Militiaman medical nurse shop – assistant
Учням дається завдання визначити, які з названих професій найважливіші для суспільства, а які, на їхню думку,менш важливі. Потім вони мають записати кожну професію під відповідним номером залежно від її важливості. Далі учні працюють парами, порівнюючи рейтинг кожної професії у своїх списках і намагаючись дійти згоди. Там, де це можливо, учні роблять помітки у своїх списках.
У ході групової бесіди вчитель з‘ясовує, які професії учні вважають найбільш важливими і в яких випадках вони не погодились зі своїми співрозмовниками.
2. Контроль підготовки висловлювань учнів про свої плани на майбутнє та можливість отримання подальшої освіти після закінчення 9 класу.

Example: As for me, I’d like to be an actress or a singer. But unfortunately I don’t have any gift for these professions.
So, I’d rather choose the profession of a teacher, because a good teacher is a little bit an actress and a little bit a singer.

T: Today we are having the “Invited Talk”.
The topic of our discussion is “Our Plans for the Future”.
I’m going to divide you in two groups.
The members of the first group will be speakers. They will talk about their plans for the future.
The members of the second one will be scientific experts. They will make themselves busy with listening to the speakers and preparing the resolutions of our Invited Talk. It’s high time to start the first speaker. I extend best wishes for a productive conference.

what do you want to be?
This school year will be very important for us. It is quite clear, because we’ll get our first document of a ninth – year education. So, we have not only to study well, but also to choose what to do when we leave school. To have a ninth – year education is very good thing, but it is not enough today. Тo work in a modern business, industry and agriculture of our young sovereign state is difficult for those who have only ninth – year education. There are there roads open to us: either we can chose the tenth form or we can enter a vocation school, a technical secondary school or a college. Our state offers the yourth a wide choice of vocational and technical schools where we can develop our knowledge and talents. These schools teach different trades or professions. All of them are important and useful. We can learn the trade or the profession of a dress – maker, a nurse, a bank clerk, a barman, a waiter, a dental mechanic, a juries – consult, a teacher for junior pupils, etc. and also receive eleventh – year education. After leaving such a school we can work in a modern officer, hospital, bank or at a factory and school. The doors of institutes and universities will be open to us too. But it is not an easy thing to choose a profession or a trade out of more than 2,000 existing in the world.
As for me I made my choice long ago.

Р3 : As for me I’m going to continue my study at our school and get a general secondary education. I’ll do my best to make a good specialist no matter in what sphere I’ll work. I’m sure my dream will come true.

In choosing a profession or trade there are some important things to remember:
