Розвивати пам'ять, мовну здогадку й мовленнєву реакцію учнів. Виховувати любов до спорту й культуру спілкування.

   Мета. Активізувати  вживання лексики   з теми « Види спорту». 

Вдосконалювати навички читання, письма  й усного мовлення з опорою на лексико–граматичні структури. Розвивати навички аудіювання. Розвивати пам'ять, мовну здогадку й мовленнєву реакцію учнів. Виховувати любов до спорту й  культуру спілкування. Обладнання. Тематичні картки з теми «Спорт», аудіозапис тексту.

 

Хід уроку

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення

1.  Повідомлення теми та мети уроку. Good morning, dear children!

How  are  you?  I  hope  you  are  well.  Today  in the lesson we are going to speak about  different  kinds  of  sport.  By the end  of  the lesson you will be able to use words and  word expressions when reading and speaking; to recognize, understand and  use   the  words  and word  combinations  when  listening  and  speaking;   to participate  in common  conversation (in discussion) about sports; to translate the words  and word  combinations  into  your  native language; to put in the missing words; to guess riddles, crosswords, make up your own stories.

 

2.  Фонетична зарядка.

T. Listen to the rhyme, read it and say if all the children can skate very well. Lessons are over: away we run to ski through the snow - what fun! We are off to the pond to skate, all go altogether, and none is late Nelly can dance on the ice like a fairy!

Andy cuts figures and so does Mary,

Ann is the best, like the wind she goes,  Peter is clumsy and falls on his nose.

 

3. Мовленнєва розминка.

T. Did you watch football (basketball) match yesterday? Who won?

What was the score? 

Who played best?

Do you like football (basketball)?

Do you often take part in the competitions in football (basketball)?

 

 

 

II. Основна частина уроку  1. Актуалізація опорних знань.

Повторення та активізація лексичного матеріалу з теми “Спорт” методом

“Brainstorming” та схематичного запису слів, які асоціюються з темою.

а) Т. You know sport is very important to everybody.  If you go in for sport, you  get  healthy  and  full  of energy and strength. What is sport for you? Let's make a mind-map about sport. Example:

     

b) T. If you want to be healthy, you must go in for sports. They say: “A sound mind is in a sound body”. Ukrainian equivalent of this proverb is «У здоровому тілі – здоровий дух».

You have already known different kinds of sports. Let's recollect them. (На дошці малюнки з різними видами спорту. Учні називають зображені види спорту.)

 

T. Well. And now guess what sports and games are described here.

1)  The sport of fighting with fists (boxing);

2)  the sport of one who swims (swimming);

3)  the sport of playing a sort of football with an oval ball (rugby);

4)  the sport of going on horseback (riding);

5)  a game played by two teams of 6 players each that is played on an ice field (ice hockey);

6)  a game  for  two people  who  use  rackets,  a small soft ball and a net (tennis).

 

c) T. Children, look at the blackboard and say which of them are sports and which of them are games: skiing, skating, football, rugby, boxing, rowing, horseracing, basketball, golf, volleyball, running, high jump, cricket, ice hockey, field hockey, badminton, tennis, baseball.

Read the text and write down all the kinds of sport mentioned in it.

 

Do You Want to Keep Fit?

If you want to keep fit, you must go in for one kind of sport or another. Sport is an essential part of my daily life. Almost every day I do some training. In summer I go swimming and play basketball. I usually spend my winter holidays in the country where I ski and skate. All my friends go in for different kinds of sports, such as: wrestling, boxing jumping, running.

We have some  teams at our school and all kinds of competitions take place there.

Of all outdoor games my sister's favourite kind of sport is figure-skating.

She hates to watch hockey matches. 

And what about you?

4. Розвиток навичок усного мовлення з теми «Улюблені види спорту».

а) Робота в парах. Т. Answer the questions.

(Pupils speak about their favourite sports using the questions as a plan.) When did you become interested in this sport?

What do you need for it?

Do you take part in sport competitions? What results do you have?

b) Складання розповідей - загадок про види спорту. Робота в групах. Т. You have made up riddles about different kinds of sports.

P. Please! Listen and guess. What kind of sport is this? Be attentive, please.

 

Можливі варіанти розповідей про види спорту.

 

1)  It is a team game. Both men and women can play it. The players have a ball.

They play it with their hands. There are six players in every team. (Volleyball) 

 

2)  It is the most popular game in Ukraine and in England. Both men and women  can play it. The game lasts for 90 minutes. It has two halves. The players kick the ball and run after it. The players try to score a goal. (Football)

 

3)  It is one of the most popular games in the world. It was first played in Canada. It is a team game. It is a winter game. Only men and boys can play it. Many people like to watch this game on TV. The players don't run on the field. They skate. They have clubs in their hands. (Hockey)

 

4)  This kind of sport is very beautiful. It gives the sportsmen strength, rhythm and grace. The sportsmen do some exercises or dance to the music. The sportsmen have skates and beautiful costumes on. (Figure-skating)

 

5)  This game is played everywhere in Ukraine:  at schools, universities and sports clubs.  It was first played in the USA. The team has 5 players. They bounce the ball on the floor up and down with one hand. They try to throw the ball into a basket. (Basketball)

 

5. Гра.

At the end of our lesson let 's play the game "Mimes ".

One person mimes doing his/her favourite sport.

The others must guess what kind of sport he/she is going in for.

Example:

A: Are you going in for football?

B: No. I am not going in for football.

A: Are you going in for basketball? 

B: Yes, I am going in for basketball.

 

Ш. Заключна частина уроку

T. Pupils, I see you know the sports well. You have worked well today.  Your marks are... So, write down your hometask. 

You must make up a crossword about different kinds of sports. That's all for today. Good - bye.
