 “Travelling to Knowledge Land”

Мета: стимулювати розвиток із інтелектуальної та пізнавальної діяльності, 

           мовних здібностей, стимулювати інтерес учнів до вивчення предмету.

Обладнання: картки із завданням, тематичні картки, музичний супровід.

Хід заходу

  Учитель:  Welcome  dear friends and dear guests to our travelling to Knowledge Land. You have to imagine that you are the passenders of the ship. We are going to travel to Knowledge Land. We have a competition of two teams. Let’s meet our teams. Name you team and say your motto. ( Учні кажуть назви своїх команд і девізи.)

   Let’s start our competition. There are some islands on our way.

І. The fist island is “Vocabulary” – “Likes and Dislikes”.

    Завдання:

   1.  Підібрати вирази до смайликів.                                                             

         It is bad.                                                                   It is OK.                           

         It is dull.                                                                   It is great.

         It is very bad.                                                           It is all right.

         It is terrible.                                                             It is fantastic.

2. Естафета. Знайти слова в рядках.

3. Написати протилежні слова.

ІІ.  The second island is “Grammar”.

      Завдання:

1. Вставити дієслова am, is, are у речення:
   1. I ... OK.
   2. My sister ... 16.
   3. Tom and Bill ... English.
   4. We ... Ukrainians.
   5. You ... my friend.
   6. It is ... summer.
   7. She ... busy.
2. Скласти речення. (Команди одержують конверти, в яких речення розрізані на окремі слова.)

1 к :  It is a big black dog.

2 к :  It is a small red berry.

ІІІ. The third island is “Animals”.

      Завдання:

      Капітани команд називають тварин на картках. (10 тварин)

ІV. The fourth island is “English Proverbs”.

      Завдання:

      Скласти англійські прислів’я.(Прислів’я розрізані на 2 частини.):

1. Time is money.
2. Better late than never.
3. Good health is above wealth.
4. An apple a day keeps a doctor away.
5. Like mother like daughter.
6. When two Sundays come together.
7. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

V.  The fifth island is “English Riddles”.        

      Завдання:  Яка команда швидше відгадає загадки.

1. I’m big. I’m grey.

My nose is long.

My tail is short.

I’m an    (elephant).

2. I’m little. I’m grey.

     My nose is short.

            My tail is long.

            I’m a    (mouse). 

3. I’m small.  I’m white.

            My nose is black.

            My ears are long.

            I like carrots.

            I’m a    (rabbit).

4. I’m big. I’m red.

My tail is long.

I like cocks and hens.

I’m a    (fox).

   Учитель:  It’s time to finish our competition. The teams have done their best to win. We are happy to have such clever pupils. Now we’ll find out who is a winner today. Let’s listen to the judges. (Журі визначає команду-переможця.)
