Поки капітани готуються, командам пропонуються букви. Необхідно назвати якомога більше слів, що починаються на ці букви. Перемагає той, хто називає останнє слово.

Наприклад: «А» - apple, apricot, actor, art, artist, action etc.

Завдання такого плану допоможе учням  активізувати та збагатити лексичний запас.

6. “Crossword”

 Командам пропонується розгадати кроссворд, в якому приховано ім’я королеви Великобританії. Перемагає та команда, яка виконає завдання швидко і правильно, а також називає ім’я королеви.

ST. VALENTINE’S STORY ( a play)

Дійові особи : Імператор Клавдій, Святий Валентин, пара молодят, солдати, кат, дочка охоронця, оповідач.

Сцена 1.

NARRATOR: It was long ago. The emperator Claudius ruled Rome.

CLAUDIUS: I want to have a big army! But the men do not want to fight in wars. They do not want to leave their wives and families. I‘ve got an idea! From now men cannot marry at all!!!

NARRATOR: Young men thought the new law was cruel and unfair.

Сцена 2.

Затемнена кімната. Горять свічки. У кімнаті – священник та пара молодят.

NARRATOR: At that time there lived a priest. His name was Valentine. He did not like Claudius law. He married people secretly.

VALENTINE: …and now you’re husband and wife. I congratulate you on the happiest day of your life!

Чути шум  і галас солдат, які наближаються.

SOLDIERS: I know where they are! We’ll catch them!

 VALENTINE: I can hear some noise ! Soldiers! They are going to catch us! Run away!

Солдати хапають Валентина. Молодятам вдається втекти.

Тюрма

NARRATOR: So, the emperor Claudius put Valentine in prison. He decided to kill him.

 VALENTINE: I’m not afraid of death. I think I did the right thing.

NARRATOR: A young lady often visited Valentine  in prison. She was the daughter of a prison guard.

DAUGHTER: I bring you flowers from many young people who asked me to give them to you. They have also written you these notes…

Валентин читає записки.

VALENTINE: They write  that they believe in love too.

DAUGHTER: They think you did the right thing.

Дівчина йде. Заходять солдати і кат.

VALENTINE: Wait! Here’s my dying wish. Give this note to my friend.

Темно. Зі свічкою виходить дочка охоронця, на ходу читаючи записку.

DAUGHTER:…. You helped me to hold my head up in prison. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me! Love from your Valentine.

NARRATOR: It was on the 14^th February many , many years ago. People still remember St. Valentine. Every year on this day they give each other special valentine cards. They express their feelings for the people they love.

“Travelling to English” Вікторини для молодших класів.

Розважально-пізнавальна гра “Traveling to English”

with Sherlok Holmes and Watson для учнів 2-4 класів

Мета та завдання:

• створити позитивну мотивацію до вивчення англійської мови;
• повторити та закріпити вивчений матеріал;
• вчити дітей колективній діяльності, співпраці.

„Подорож” проводиться з учнями 2-4 класів. Всі учні – пасажири потягу, який рушає в подорож до англійської мови. Кожна група учнів займає свій поїзд, який зупиняється на різних станціях. Діти самі обирають розпізнавальні знаки для себе, але в кожній групі є машиніст “driver”, який проводить свою групу по станціях. Для того, щоб поїзди „не потрапляли в аварійні ситуації” на своєму шляху, кожна група отримує   маршрутний лист “train table”, в якому вказано маршрут кожного поїзда, назви станцій та порядок руху. В ньому також вказано час зупинки, кількість отриманих балів.

Хід гри

Teacher: Dear friends, today you are passengers of these trains. We are going to travel to English. The trains are leaving. Good journey! See you later!  Sherlok Holmes and Dr.Watson will help you to solve your problems.

Station 1: “Musical”
Відгадайте мелодію та заспівайте пісню англійською мовою. (використовуються пісні, які вивчалися раніше: “What is your name?”, “I see green, I see yellow”, “I am a pupil”, “Hello, how are you?”, “Head and shoulders”, etc.) На цій станції відповідальними є вчитель музики та учнів старших класів, які пропонують музику без слів, а діти згадують та виконують її англійською мовою. Якщо їм не вдалося вгадати пісню,  пропонується інша мелодія.  

Station 2: “Phonetics”
Прочитайте слова в транскрипції.
Наприклад: [spu:n], [tri:], [plein], [faiv], [sta:], [kwi:n], [fa:m], [bo:l], [blu:], [boks]

Station 3: “Reading”
Перевіряється техніка читання (кількість слів за одну хвилину). Один з учнів, обраний командою, отримує лист зі словами або з текстами. Учню дається одна хвилина на підготовку, потім він зачитує запропонований матеріал. Підраховується кількість прочитаних слів за одну хвилину і виставляється така ж кількість отриманих балів у маршрутний лист.  

 Наприклад: Ship, egg, bus, book, queen, star, horse, name, sit, yes, mug, cook, feed, park, port, cake, stone, little, bench, jump, good, sheep, farm, floor, plate, nose, big, bell, sun, wood, lake, bone, fish, pen, tulip, pupil, that, thеse, moon, bird, purse, king, morning, yellow, weak, beak, ball, day, boy, out.

Якщо учень завершив читати слова, а вчитель його не зупиняє, він починає читати запропонований матеріал з початку.  

Station 4: “Poetical”
Розкажіть вірш англійською мовою. 

Station 5: “Grammatical”

Station 6: “Lexical”
Продовжити перелік слів за темами (усно): 

 1. dog … 2. red … 3. read …
„Відгадай слово, яке зображено на малюнку ”.    

Station 7: “Riddles”
Відгадайте загадки.

Station 8: “Dialogue”
Бесіди за темою „Знайомство, „В магазині”, „В зоопарку”

Station 9: “Conversation”
Складіть розповідь за малюнком.  
Наприклад: “I see a dog. Its name is Rex. Rex is big and good. It is red. Its nose is black. The dog is under the desk. It’s a good dog. This is its bone. Rex is happy. I like the dog.

Station 10: “Crossword”
Знайти 10 слів, що позначають кольори (можна використати будь-який кросворд за темою).
