Pioneerball

There are many sports, or variation of sports and games, to play outside the traditional games that get recognition.

The winter season provides many difficult sporting situations for those who want to play a specific activity and are tired of playing the same old traditional sports. Heck, even if you are just looking for a new game to play, this is a good place to start.

If you are suffering from a routine-sports syndrome, pioneerball is the game for you.

All you need to play is a volleyball net and a volleyball. Pioneerball is a variation of volleyball that requires anywhere from six to 18 players, making two teams of three to eight players.

One player throws the ball over the net to begin the game. A player on the other side must catch the ball without it hitting the ground.

It’s very similar to volleyball except you can catch the ball and throw it.

According to the rules, that player must throw the ball back over the net without taking more than three steps. Within the group Miller played with, the rules were slightly different. The player could pass the ball to a teammate, but the ball could only be touched by three teammates before crossing the net again.

If you don’t think pioneerball is fast-paced enough, throw in a second ball.

Two players start the game by throwing the ball from each side to the opposite team for a serve. If both balls are on the same side of the court being held, the other team scores a point.

How to Play Twister

One of the most popular party games has to be the twister game. No, we’re not talking about tornados here, but the fun game that gets everyone wrapped up in everyone else – literally! It’s the perfect game to play during the holidays with family and friends, and it guarantees lots of laughter.

According to Wikipedia, Twister was played for the first time in 1966 on The Tonight Show by Eva Gabor and Johnny Carson. The idea of this game was then sent in to the producers and Milton Bradley was the first group to publish this game.

If you have never played Twister before, don’t worry! It’s super easy to learn; all you have to do is follow these simple twister rules and you’ll be bending sideways in no time.

Twister Requirements

WikiHow recommends that you’ll need 2-3 players to play this game; more would make things a bit more complicated. It would also be wise to get someone to referee the game. You will also need a Twister set, which will include the Twister mat, and a spinner. This game works best on a flat surface.

How to Play Twister

  1. Spread the mat out onto the ground. You can put heavy objects in the corners in order to make sure the mat doesn’t slide around too much.
  2. If you haven’t played Twister before, you’ll have to set up the spinner. Simply press the needle into the centre hole. You will see that there are different colours on there as well as a left foot, right foot, left hand, and right hand on it.
  3. The referee will then spin the spinner and calls out the action that should be carried out by the players. If the referee calls “Left foot, blue!”, then all the players should move their left foot to the blue circle.
  4. Remember that you may not move your body until the referee calls out an action, except if you allow another person’s limb to pass through. There may also be only one player’s limb per dot.
  5. If your limb is already on the colour dot that has been called out, you’ll need to find another dot of the same colour.
  6. If you fall down, you will be eliminated from the game. It’s important for you to keep your balance at all times!
  7. The last person standing is the winner.

Twister Game Variations

If the regular game of twister is not a challenge for you anymore, you can always spice it up a bit. Choose a colour, for example, red that has to be the winning colour. So not only do you have to be the last person standing, but you’ll have to have at least 2 limbs on a red dot, for example. You can choose the variations anyway you’d like.

If you want the game to continue for a longer amount of time, why not make it a twister tournament? You and your friends can play in rounds until there is only one person left standing – the ultimate twister champion.
