Вживання

Для вираження постійної, повторюваної, властивої предмету дії. Характеризує дію як ФАКТ.

 

Для вираження незавершеної, триваючої дії. Характеризує дію як ПРОЦЕС.

 

Для вираження дії, яка вже відбулася або відбудеться до якогось певного моменту в теп., мин., майб. Характеризує дію як РЕЗУЛЬТАТ.

Для вираження тривалої дії, яка розпочалася в минулому і триває до певного моменту.

Present

+  They (He) play (plays) chess every Saturday and Sunday.

  They (He) don’t (doesn’t) play chess on Monday.
