ВСТУП
В сучасному світі інформація оточує людину у всіх сферах її буття. Інформація допомагає передавати досвід людей нагромаджений у найрізноманітніших видах діяльності. Інформацію можна отримати та передати різними способами, читання є одним із цих способів.
Читання іноземною мовою як комунікативне уміння та засіб спілкування є важливим видом мовленнєвої діяльності та найбільш розповсюдженим способом іншомовної комунікації, яким учні мають оволодіти згідно з вимогам чинної програми та Державного стандарту з іноземних мов.
Навчання читання — це одне із важливих завдань шкільного курсу навчання іноземної мови. У процесі читання учні набувають й закріплюють знання з лексики, граматики та мовленнєвих навичок .
Етап початкової школи – один із головних, саме в цей період найкраще прищеплювати любов та інтерес учнів до читання.
Домашнє читання іншомовних текстів в початковій школі допомагає розвивати гнучкість мислення, підвищує рівень емпатії та рівень творчості учнів. Суть домашнього читання полягає в індивідуальній роботі учня, яку вчитель перевіряє наступного уроку. Це сприяє розвитку однієї із ключових компетентностей ХХІ століття- навчання впродовж життя .
Продуктивний розвиток читацьких навичок на початковому етапі допоможе учням у майбутньому знаходити, передавати та відтворювати потрібну інформацію.

The mice just played, danced and sang the songs. And the cock got up early, woke everyone up with his song and got to work.
