Theme: Easter.

Aim: To learn different between celebrate Easter in Ukraine and Great Britain, develop verbal speech and reading, bring up esteem to tradition celebrate some holidays.

Equipment: cards with picture symbols holiday; history rise holiday Easter (video); willow branch; photo symbols Easter, hot cross buns and Easter Bunny; 8 Easter eggs.

By the end for a lesson: to know different between celebrate Easter in Ukraine and Great Britain, using new vocabulary in verbal speech, respect tradition.

                                                Substance

1. Vocabulary and Grammar practice.

• The last lessons we learn the theme holidays. What holidays are you remembering?
• Look at the picture. (cards with picture symbols holiday)
• How are you preparing for this holidays?

1. To write the invitation.
2. To send the invitation.
3. To clean the house.
4. To open the presents.

-What holidays are we celebrating for the last lessons?

(Birthday, New Year, Christmas).

2. Announcement theme and aim lesson.

• Today we will celebrate Easter and to know different between celebrate Easter in Ukraine and Great Britain.

3. Apprehension new vocabulary and grammar materials.

-Now we will listen a history rise holiday Easter.

( history rise holiday Easter (video)).

( Explanation new words into Ukrainian.)

-The last Sunday before Easter is called Verbna Nedilia ( Willow Sunday).

Pussy willow branches are blessed in the church. Then the people tap one another with these branches. (willow branch).

Playtime: “ Willow branch”

Willow branch say:

Not I am tapping,

The willow is tapping.

Easter is in a week!

Be as tall as the willow,

As healthy as the water and

As a rich as the earth.

The other children say:

Willow branch, Willow branch,

Sure, you can’t see,

Turn  round three times

And try to catch me.

In this holiday we have some traditional and some special thinks. There are: a paska, an Easter eggs, an Easter basket and an Easter present ( photo symbols Easter).

In Great Britain the symbols Easter is Easter Bunny (photo Easter Bunny).

• For Easter Easter Bunny  hides Easter eggs and children must to find it .

Our Easter Bunny hides Easter eggs and you must find 8 eggs ( 8 Easter eggs).

In Great Britain for this holiday people bike “Hot cross buns” (photo hot cross buns).

Now we will sing song about it.
