The Theme: «Past Simple».
Objectives:
Equipment: 5 planets made of cartoon: Tongue Twister’s Planet,
Angry Wizard’s Planet, Two Friend’s Planet, Planet of Swamps,
Planet of Irregular Verbs; cards with the names of the animals;
cards with the irregular verbs and other grammar tasks;picture.
PROCEDURE
Teacher: Good morning, pupils! Look! There are 5 planets
in different parts of our classroom. Let’s visit them.
(Картки з назвами планет розташовані на дошці).
Now you are a very friendly crew. We are sitting in the best space
ship and are ready to begin our traveling. So what is the date of our trip? And what is the weather like on our planet now? That’s fine! So let’s go!
Teacher: Look! I’ll tell you where we are. It’s a Tongue Twister’s planet. We must read a tongue twister. Here it is.
(На зворотній стороні учні знаходять скоромовку).
You’ve no need to light a night-light
On a light night like tonight,
For a night-light’s a slight light.
(Перед роботою над скоромовкою діти згадують правило: «якщо букви I,G,T поставити в ряд, ці букви гучно «Ай» нам говорять».)
Teacher: Now we are at a planet where an angry and cruel wizard lives. All the animals on this planet are stones now. Here they are!
( на зворотній стороні іншої планети знаходяться картки з назвами тварин.)
Let’s help them! We make sentences about them. I’ll begin.

Teacher: It’s Two Friend’s Planet. The two badgers live there. They forget everything and always ask: «What did we do yesterday?». I have some picture here. Look and say what they did yesterday.

Let’s remember our trip. Open the brackets:
