Procedure
I Introduction
Teacher: Good morning, today we’re going to speak about something interesting. Look at the picture and guess what topic we are going to discuss today.
• The teacher shows the picture which is half covered. Students try to guess the topic.
II Warming-up
Teacher: Watch a video and answer the questions: Have they done anything interesting?
What was it?
Teacher: Ask your classmate:
Have you done anything interesting in your city recently?
What was it?
Do you usually take photos when you visit interesting places?
Teacher: Write as many words and phrases as you can remember connected with the topic “Describing a photo”. You have one minute.
• In one minute time the teacher asks his students to count the words. The winner reads the words from his list, and then other students read the
words which haven` t been mentioned before.
III Main part
1. Vocabulary practice
Teacher: We have mentioned a lot of words connected with the topic “Describing a photo”. Look at some more words and phrases.

• Teacher divides students into groups.
Teacher: We’re going to work in groups. The task is to add more phrases to each group. You have 1 minute. Let’s start.
• Every group is given cards with phrases
• Students do ex 2 p 39 SB in the form of a game HELP YOUR CLASSMATE. Students change their places and do the exercise in their mates’ textbooks.
Teacher: Now let’s listen and check it.

watching him. They’re wearing shorts and T-shirts, so
3 I think it’s summer. The street is quite crowded, so
perhaps this is a tourist area. The street artist has got dark
hair and he’s wearing jeans and a bright green T-shirt.

3. Speaking
Teacher: Use your notes and phrases of the lesson to describe the photo you see. You have three minutes.
