Тема. Напередодні свят. Різдво у Великобританії.

Мета:

• ознайомитися з особливостями святкування Різдва у Великобританії, основними лексичними одиницями, що стосуються теми уроку, повторити  кількісні та порядкові числівники англійської мови, практикувати в усному мовленні, читанні, письмі,

• формувати навички соціолінгвістичної та лінгвокраїнознавчої компетенції, розвивати вміння будувати питальні речення типу «Is it…?», описувати малюнок, навички говоріння, читання, письма, увагу, мислення, пам’ять, творчість  учнів, ініціативу у використанні англійської мови;

• виховувати повагу до культури та традицій країни, мова якої вивчається, відчуття прекрасного

Обладнання: ноутбук з відеосюжетом «Jingle Bells», лексичним матеріалом, аудіозаписами «New Year tree» та «We wish you Merry Christmas», роздатковий матеріал, паперові іграшки на ялинку, сніжинки із завданнями, малюнки із зображенням Різдва та Нового року, іграшкова ялинка, Санта-Клаус та Дід Мороз, шкарпетка

Хід уроку

І. Початок уроку:

- організаційний момент;

- мовленнєва розминка (введення в іншомовну атмосферу):

1) What date is it today?

2) What day is it today?

3) What is the weather like today?

4) What month is it now?

5) What season is it now?

Let’s sing a song about seasons! ( Song “Seasons”)

6) Do you like winter?

7) What holidays in winter do you know?

- оголошення теми та мети уроку.

Today you are divided into two teams. Call yourselves! The name must be connected with a theme of our lesson. For every true answer I’’ll give you a toy for our Christmas tree. The team which will have more toys will be a winner.

ІІ. Основна частина уроку

Game “Numerals”( Учитель викликає по одному учаснику з кожної команди. мовою ( 3672, 476,2894, 873 і т.д). Завдання учнів – обкреслити те число, яке вони почули. За правильне виконання завдання – паперова іграшка на ялинку).

T. Today we have unusual lesson. It is dedicated of one of the most wonderful holidays in the world – Christmas! What do you know about celebration of   Christmas in Great Britain?

Vocabulary practice: (робота із новими словами  до теми за допомогою усного промовляння та одночасної появи нових слів разом із їх малюнками на екрані ноутбука):

Christmas – Різдво;

Santa Claus – Санта Клаус;

The New Year Tree= Christmas tree – новорічна = різдвяна ялинка;

A snowflake – сніжинка;

A snowman- сніговик;

A toy – іграшка;

A present – подарунок;

The Christmas card –різдвяна листівка;

The Christmas letter – лист Санта Клаусу на Різдво;

A stocking – різдвяна шкарпетка;

The Christmas bunch – різдвяний віночок;

Merry Christmas! – Щасливого Різдва!

Christmas

Christmas is the most wonderful and loved holiday in Great Britain. It is a family holiday. Christmas is on the 25^th of December. Before this holiday children write the Christmas letter to Santa Claus . The 24^th of December is Christmas’s Eve when all children of Great Britain hang up stockings to receive presents from Santa Claus and sing Christmas carols.  On this day there is the Christmas bunch in every house. Under this bunch boys kiss girls. At Christmas people have a special food, decorated schools, houses, churches with Christmas trees, toys, coloured lights, send Christmas cards to their friends and relatives .The 26^th of December is Boxing Day. It is time to give and receive presents and to wish “Merry Christmas”.

Game: “My stocking” ( учитель вказує на різдвяну шкарпетку і просить учнів відгадати, який подарунок приготував для них Санта-Клаус за допомогою конструкції питального речення «Is it…?»)

At this lesson you also must learn how to write a letter to Santa Claus. Look at the blackboard ( на дошці – ключові слова для написання листа Санта Клаусу. Учитель роздає шаблон листа кожному учневі: « Dear Santa! My name is…I am … I live in…Can I have…for Christmas, please? Merry Christmas! Your friend,…)

III. Заключна частина уроку

Homework: to learn new words and word-combinations, to write a letter to Santa Claus.

  Was it interesting?
