Практичні задачі:

1)активізувати та закріпити вживання лексичного матеріалу в мовленні учнів;

2) поглибити знання учнів про визначні місця Лондона;

3) навчати діалогічного та монологічного мовлення за темою;

4) практикувати у вмінні аудіювати тексти, давати відповіді на запитання з метою отримання детальної інформації;

5) практикувати у вживанні теперішнього та минулого часів.

Мета:

– навчальна: вивчити нову лексику теми, формувати навички аудіювання; формувати уявлення учнів про столицю Великобританії, поглибити знання учнів про визначні місця Лондона; вивчити новий лексико-граматичний матеріал;

– розвивальна: практикувати учнів у діалогічному і монологічному мовленні; практикувати у складанні письмового повідомлення за темою уроку, розвивати культуру спілкування учнів, творчі здібності; розвивати навички роботі в парах, групах;

– виховна: виховувати інтерес до життя людей в інших країнах, виховувати почуття поваги до пам’яток культури й потребу в пізнанні світової культури країни, мову якої вивчають, стимулювати і підтримувати інтерес до вивчення англійської мови.

Обладнання: підручник, картки для роботи, схеми, фото визначних місць Лондона, таблички з назвами визначних місць, карта Лондона, запис пісні “London Bridge” , роздатковий матеріал

Тип уроку: урок, спрямований на формування мовленнєвих навичок користування мовним матеріалом

І. ПІДГОТОВКА ДО СПРИЙНЯТТЯ ІНШОМОВНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ

1. Привітання.

Good morning, children! I’m glad to see. How are you today?

So, we have spoken much about the UK and its people and today we’ll continue our travel to one of the most beautiful places of London.

Let’s remember the motto of our lesson:

“When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.”

3. Введення в іншомовну атмосферу.

- If you had a chance to travel to Great Britain what would you like to travel by?

Do you like to travel? What types of travel have you tried? (plane, boat, hitch-hiking…) when do you prefer to travel? What countries do you want to visit? Do you want to travel abroad? What transport do you want to go by? What sights do you want to see?

So today we are going to travel to London. But at first let’s practice some sounds and say a tongue twister.

4. Warm up.

• Close your eyes, think about London

  and try to imagine it in your mind.

• Describe what you “saw” in your mind.

• What things do you associate with London?

• Make a list of your favourite places in London

• Which one do you like best? Why?

3) Граматична зарядка.

Now let’s compare different London sights using the structure “as… as” or “not as… as”. Let’s use these adjectives: beautiful, exciting, popular, crowded, busy, old.

4. Dynamic Pause.  Вчитель називає пам’ятки світу, якщо вони знаходяться в Лондоні, - діти плескають у долоні, якщо ні – топають ногами. За бажанням діти самі можуть скласти подібну фізхвилинку, використовуючи відомі їм пам’ятки.

It’s time to play a game
You have cards that describe one of the famous place in London and you should guess them.
1- I like this place. We can do the shopping here.
- Yes, really many shops are in …..(Oxford Street).
2- How interesting. This place has changed a lot.
- Certainly!.....(the Tower of London) used to be a prison, a tower and even a king’s zoo.
3- Look! There is the flag waving over ……..( Buckingham Palace).
- Don’t you know, when the flag is waving the Queen is in the residence.
4- This is an old church.
- I know that many outstanding people are buried in…….(Westminster Abbey).

• It is a beautiful building with two towers and a very big clock. It is the seat of British government. (the Houses of Parliament)

• It is the most famous of all the historical buildings in London. In different times it was served as a palace, as a prison, as a fortress. Now it is a museum. Ravens live there. (the Tower of London)
• It is a very beautiful church. It is very old; it was built 900 years ago. It was s monastery for a long time. Kings and queens have been crowned in this great church. It contains the tombs of many famous people of Great Britain (Westminster Abbey)
• It is the main square of London. There are fountains in this square. You can see a very high column to some famous English admiral (Trafalgar Square)
