Тема уроку:    It’s Something Wrong with Me.

 (Я маю проблеми зі здоров’ям).

Мета уроку : 1) Навчальна:

• Повторити і закріпити лексику з теми;
• Вдосконалювати діалогічне мовлення учнів;
• Формувати навички вживання минулого доконаного часу.

                2) Розвиваюча:

- розвивати логічне мислення і мовленнєву реакцію учнів.

               3) Виховна:

- виховувати доброзичливе ставлення до співрозмовника;

- підвищувати загальну культуру здорового способу життя.

Обладнання:   підручники, дидактичний матеріал.

Хід уроку.

І. Початок уроку.

Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного матеріалу.

2. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

Today is the 27^th of February, in two days we’ll meet spring. The weather in spring is usually warmer and nicer, so we have a possibility of spending more time outside. That’s why we will be healthier in spring than we are in winter. There is nothing more important in our life than health. “Health is above wealth”, wise people say. But sometimes we are ill and have to visit a doctor.

The theme of our today’s lesson is

“It’s something wrong with me”.

The objectives of our lesson are:

• To activate our vocabulary;
• To develop listening comprehension, reading and speaking skills;
• To introduce and practice The Past Perfect Tense.

3. Мовленнєва зарядка.

А)  Учні хором повторюють за вчителем тематичну лексику та розподіляють її на 4 групи:

             1- симптом

             2- хвороба

             3-частина тіла

             4-служба охорони здоров’я.

• Let’s review our vocabulary. There are words on the blackboard. Your task is repeat and divide them into 4 groups:

1. Symptom
2. Illness
3. Part of the body
4. Health service.

В)     Гра «Назви слово». Групова робота учнів. Діти розподіляються на дві команди. Одна команда читає значення слова, інша повинна вгадати його. Потім команди міняються ролями.

• A game “Guess the word according to its definition”. There are two teams. Each pupil has a card. Take them. One of the members of a team A reads a definition, a team B guesses the word.

  ІІ. Основна частина уроку.

1.Перевірка домашнього завдання.

1.  Парна робота учнів. Кожна пара отримує 2 запитання і відповідає, допомагаючи один одному.(Запитання стосуються змісту тексту, прочитаного на попередньому уроці та заданого додому,  та інших вправ, які виконувалися раніше).
2. Учні по черзі виконують вправу 5 ст.114 – закінчують речення згідно змісту прочитаного тексту.

It’s time for checking up your home task.

1. Work in pairs. I’ve prepared questions for you, two ones for each pair. Take a stripe and answer, you may help each other.
2. Now I’m going to check up how you have done Ex5 p.114. Open your books and complete the sentences without looking at the text.

2.Гра «Допоможи мені одужати». 

Вчитель називає проблему, у учнів на партах  - картки, де вказані засоби лікування. У разі правильної відповіді, колір, яким надрукована проблема співпадає з методом лікування.

A game “Help me recover”

As I’ve said before we are sometimes ill, have problems with our health. Let’s imagine that I have a problem. Help me recover! Take stripes with sentences in colour. If you are right, the colour of the problem and the solution will be the same.

Well done! You have treated me and I’m well now.

3. Пояснення нового граматичного матеріалу.

А)Пояснення правил вживання та утворення минулого доконаного часу.

Write down the date and our Grammar theme: “The Past Perfect Tense.”

Look for a moment at these two sentences:

Ali learned English.                    He came to England.

Both these actions took place in the past, so we use the Past Simple Tense:

LEARNED, CAME.

But suppose we want to show that one of these actions took place before another one. Suppose we want to say that before he came to England Ali learned English. Then we use the Past Perfect Tense to the action that took place first and the Past Simple Tense to another action.

     We say:

Ali had learned English before he came to England.

You see that Past Perfect is formed like Present Perfect except that instead of using the Present form HAVE/HAS we use the Past form HAD.

SO, THE PAST PERFECT IS USED TO SHOW THAT ONE ACTION TOOK PLACE BEFORE ANOTHER ACTION (IN THE PAST SIMPLE TENSE)

В) Використання минулого доконаного часу у мовленні. Питально – відповідна вправа 1 ст.115

Let’s use this tense in our speaking. Answer the questions of Ex1 p115.

С) Групова робота. Кожна група з 4-х учнів повинна утворити речення, з’єднавши відповідні частини минулого простого та минулого доконаного часів, а також знайти зайву частину речення. Наприкінці представники кожної групи утворюють з зайвих чотирьох частин  ще додаткові 2 речення.  

Group work. Make a group of four. I have given you stripes. Some of them are in blue. Choose them and put one under another. They are the beginnings of the sentences. Others are in brown. They are the endings. Your task is to match them and to find the stripe you don’t need to use.

 By the time the doctor came

Mary caught a cold because

Ann had taken her medicine

John had a bad stomach ache

The doctor prescribed some medicine for his patient

Mother had laid Mary into bed

she hadn’t worn warm clothes

after he had eaten in a café

ІІІ. Закінчення уроку.

1. Пояснення домашнього завдання.

Your home task is to practice the Past Perfect Tense.

Ex.2p.117 – make sentences as in the example –in a written form;

Ex.3 p.117 – match two parts of the sentences.

2. Підбиття підсумків уроку.

We have done a lot of exercises. Our main tasks were:

•  To activate our vocabulary;
• To develop listening comprehension, reading and speaking skills;
• To introduce and practice The Past Perfect Tense.

We have fulfilled them. What is your mood? What about our new grammar tense? We are practicing it during our next lesson.
