Мета.                                                                                                                         Практична:                                                                                                                            -    активізувати вживання лексичних одиниць з теми уроку в усному мовленні; -    продовжувати формувати навички читання;

-     удосконалювати навички аудіювання.

Розвиваюча:надати учням інформацію про особливості характеру, традиції та правила етикету англійців;розвивати пізнавальні інтереси учнів,вміння логічно викладати свою думку.                                                                                         Виховна:виховувати в учнів повагу та інтерес до традицій, життя англійців;виховувати культуру спілкування.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Хід уроку                                                                                                                                         Розділ 1. Introduction. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

Greeting (a song ``Hello``).                                                                                                                 Aim. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

T. Today we are going to speak about British people, their character, traditions and manners.                                                                                                                                     Розділ 2.  Фонетична зарядка(повторення прикметників на позначення рис характеру людини).                                                                                                                                        T. But now let’s do some phonetic exercises and revise positive and negative features. So, repeat after me.

Flash cards (polite, disciplined , reserved , well- mannered, humorous, tactful, quiet, talkative, lazy, friendly,hospitable,calm).                                                                                                                     Розділ 3.  Warming up. Let`s read and translate the text about English lifestyle. (texts)                                                                                                                                                                                                  Слайд 1.The English are naturally polite and they are never tired of saying «Please», «Thank you» and «Excuse me».They are generally disciplined and reserved. You’ll never hear a loud talk in the streets.                                                                                                 Слайд 2.At the British banks, shops, cinemas, theatres or bus stops you can always see people in queues. They stand in a line and wait quietly, often for a long time. Each new person stands at the end of the queue – sometimes in rain, wind or snow. The English don’t rush for seats in the buses and trains.                                                          Слайд 3.The English people do not shake hands when meeting each other, they do not show their emotions much.                                                                                          Слайд 4.The English are a nation of stay - at - homes. There is no place like home, they say. English people prefer small houses to live in.                                                         Слайд 5. The fireplace is the centre of interest in the room .They like to sit round the fire and watch dancing flames, exchanging the day’s experience. In many houses you’ll still see fireplaces, sometimes with columns on which there is often a clock or a mirror or photos.                                                                                                                                      Слайд 6.The English people like gardening. They talk about it in their offices, in the shops and at home. In the evening they work in their gardens, large and small, and do it at any weather. They grow flowers, vegetables and fruits there. If an Englishman has no garden he grows something in a window –box outside his kitchen.                                                                                                                                            Слайд 7. The British are a nation of animal lovers. They have about 5 million dogs and 5 million cats, 3 million parrots and other cage birds, aquarium fish and 1 million exotic pets at home. • Is it usual to greet friends as many times as you meet them in Ukraine?
• Is it usual to shake hands each time you meet your friend?
• Is it usual to keep distance talking to a person?                                                  Розділ 11.                                                                                                                  Home Assignment:                                                                                           початковий рівень;середній рівень:написати невеличкий твір з теми «English lifestyle» за опорою (див.розділ7);                                             достатній рівень:підготувати усне повідомлення з теми «English lifestyle»;                                                                                                             високий рівень:створити власну презентацію з теми «English lifestyle» та захистити її(використати додатковий матеріал).
