The subject: Family
The aim: by the end of the lesson pupils will be able to speak about their families, using the structures have got, has got
The objectives: - present new vocabulary “Mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather”
-distinguish the meanings of the words
-apply the words in structures have got, has got
-motivate pupils to study English ;
- develop skills of memory, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity
- bring up active behavior on the lessons
The equipment: multimedia system, toys, flashcards
The procedure of the lesson
I. The introductory part.
1.Pupils are standing in a circle and singing Good morning song https://youtu.be/aeQlnlMpizI, repeating the moves from the video
2.The pupils say hello to each other passing a toy.
3.The teacher sticks smiles with different emotions. Then the pupils are divided into teams of four. The pupils of every team get instructions like “ I am happy”, or “I am sad”. This means they come up to the wall where they can find a smile with the corresponding emotion.
4.The pupils are divided into pairs and reproduce a talk of meeting a new friend.
The pupils use a poster with signs helping to talk, which they can see on the blackboard
II.The main part.

Using vocabulary in word combinations and sentences:
The pupils roleplay family members.
Every pupil gets a flashcard with family members. They should say : “ I am a father( a mother, a sister, a granny) in the family”.
Then teacher asks some “members of the family” come out:
So, 5 pupils go to the blackboard. The teacher says:
-What is your family?
The pupils’ answers should be: “My family is a mother, a father, a sister, a brother, a granny” or “ I have got a mother, a father….”
The next time the teacher may call out 2 grandmothers, a mother,a father….
Work in groups of 5:
The pupils get a set of cards and paper. The task is to stick the pictures and make a family tree
III Summary. Reflection.
Every group makes presentation of their family tree, using structures: I have got…
My name is…, this is…his(her) name is….
